பெருமாள் நாங்கள் போடும் பின்னூட்டல்கள் சிங்களவர்களை மாற்றும் நோக்கை கொண்டவையல்ல. மாறாக ஒரு நாட்டின் நிகழ்வுகள் உலகின் கவனத்தை ஈர்க்கும் பொழுது அந்த செய்திகள் ட்ரெண்ட் (trend) ஆவதும் அதனை பலர் அயல் நாடுகளில் இருந்தும் வெளிநாடுகளில் இருந்தும் பார்ப்பதுண்டு. அத்துடன் இராஜதந்திர வடடாரங்களும் இவற்றில் கண் வைப்பதுண்டு. மிகமுக்கியமாக சமூக வலைத்தளங்கள் ஒருபக்க பார்வையை மட்டும் வழங்குவதுடன் மிகவும் சிக்கலான, வரலாற்று பின்னணி கொண்ட நிகவுகளை ஏதோ நேற்று தொடங்கிய ஒரு நிகழ்வு போன்ற தவறான பார்வையை வாசிப்போர் மத்தியில் ஏட்படுத்துவதுண்டு. ஒரு பகுதி மட்டும் கருத்தை வடிவமைக்க (opinion shaping/propgating a set narrative) நாங்கள் அனுமதிக்கமுடியாது. எனவே சமூகவலைத்தளங்களில் பிரபலமானோர்/நிறுவனங்கள் (உதாரணம்: சர்வதேச மன்னிப்பு சபை) அரைசியல் விடயங்களில் வைக்கும் கருத்துக்களை நாங்கள் எமது நீண்ட கால நலன் கருதி தகுந்த வழியில், ஆதாரத்துடன் (factual), அதிகம் உணர்ச்சிவசப்படாமல் (rational not emotional) போட்டுடைப்பது இந்த தகவல் தொழினுப்ப யுகத்தில் அரசியல் யுத்தம் (Political warfare in the digital age) செய்யும் போது முக்கியம். எங்களது செயல்பாடுகள் பலதளங்களில் தொடரவேண்டியதொன்று. நான் இங்கே இணைத்தவை ஒரு சில கருத்துக்கள் மட்டுமே. நான் வேறு கணக்கின் கீழ் எழுதிய கருத்துக்களுக்கு ஆதரவுதந்தோறும் எதிர்ப்போரும் இருக்கிறார்கள். இரண்டு பகுதியும் எங்களுக்கு தேவை. ஏனெனில் சமூக வலைதளங்கள் எங்கேஜ்மெண்ட் (engagement) முன்னுரிமை வழங்குவதால் கூடிய பார்வையார்களுக்கு செய்திகள் போய்சேர வழியுண்டு. Hashtag உடன் கருத்துக்களை போடும் போது தேடல் வழியாக வருவோரும் இவற்றை கண்டு கொள்ள முடியும். அரசியலில் ஆர்வம் உள்ளவர்கள் தவிர மற்றவர்கள் நீண்ட கட்டுரை வாசிக்கும் அளவுக்கு பொறுமை கொண்டவர்கள் அல்லர். அதோடு சிக்கலான விடயங்களை சாராம்சம் செய்து இந்த சமூக வளத்தங்களூடாக வழங்கும் போது அது மேலதிக தேடல்களுக்கு வழிவகுக்கும்.
