Sri Lanka will be celebrating its 60th Independence Day on the 4th Feb 2008. While they celebrate many thousands of Tamils in the North & East part of Sri Lanka are undergoing great suffering due to its military forces.

TYOUK is organising a vigil on the 4th Feb 2008 outside No 10 Downing Street (Come out of Exit 4 at Westminster and then turn left).

This Vigil will start at 11am and will be aiming to end around 3-4pm.

We will be handing out a mandate to the prime minister around 1pm stressing our point and asking that UK get involved in this matter.

It is because of UK that Sri Lanka is celebrating on this day.

Please come and show your support for the betterment of Tamils in our homeland.

Please advise all your friends and relatives to wear BLACK clothing on this day whether they are going to work or not.
