A Sri Lankan merchant vessel has come under Tamil Tiger rebels' attack, Naval officials said Sunday. The ship named City of Liverpool was returning to the eastern port of Trincomalee when it came under attack by Sea Tigers of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
