சிறிலங்க கடற்படை துப்பாக்கிச் சூடு : இராமேஸ்வரம் மீனவர் பலி! பத‌ற்ற‌ம்!

45 நாள் தடைக்குப் பிறகு கடலில் மீன் பிடிக்கச் சென்ற மீனவர்கள் மீது சிறிலங்க கடற்படை நடத்திய துப்பாக்கிச் சூட்டில் இராமேஸ்வரம் மீனவர் ஒருவர் கொல்லப்பட்டார்.

ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் இருந்து சுமார் 714 விசைப் படகுகளில் நேற்று காலை மீனவர்கள் மீன்பிடிக்கச் சென்றனர். நேற்று இரவு தமிழக மீனவர்கள் மீன் பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த இடத்திற்கு வந்த சிறிலங்க கடற்படையினர் அவர்களை அங்கிருந்து செல்லுமாறு கூறியுள்ளனர்.

அப்பகுதியில், அந்தோணிபுரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த மைக்கேலுக்குச் சொந்தமான படகில் (படகு எண் 244), அவரது மகன் சந்தியாகு (20), ஆரோக்கியராஜ், உறவினர்கள் எடிசன் (32), தபியா (20) ஆகியோர் மீன்பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

சிறிலங்க கடற்படையினரின் மிரட்டலையடுத்து, தங்கள் வலைகளை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு புறப்படுவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே அவர்கள் மீது சிறிலங்க கடற்படை துப்பாக்கிச் சூடு நடத்தியுள்ளனர்.

இந்த துப்பாக்கிச் சூட்டில் சந்தியாகு என்பவர் பலியானார். சந்தியாகு தவிர மற்றவர்கள் உயிர் பிழைத்துள்ளனர்.

பலியான சந்தியாகு உடல் ராமேஸ்வரம் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டு அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தகவல் அறிந்த சந்தியாகு உறவினர்கள், மீனவர்கள் ஒன்று திரண்டுள்ளனர். ‌மீனவ‌ர்க‌ளு‌‌ம் ‌மீ‌ன்‌பிடி‌க்க‌ச் செ‌ல்லாம‌ல் வேலை ‌நிறு‌த்த‌த்‌தி‌ல் ஈடுப‌ட்டு வரு‌கி‌ன்றன‌ர்.

கோட்டாட்சியர் சந்திரன், மீன் வளத்துறை உதவி இயக்குனர் வேல்பாண்டியன் ஆகியோர் அரசுக்கு தகவல் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

India's naval surveillance big help - FM

India's maritime "surveillance" has "helped" Sri Lanka in "a big way" in facing the challenge from the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama told The Hindu that his country would continue to "advocate" that the international community take steps to dry up the sources of funding and other forms of support for the LTTE.

Outlining Sri Lanka's diplomatic offensive in East Asia, Bogollagama, who was here to attend the 'Shangri-La Dialogue,' cited Australia for its efforts in moving against suspected pro-LTTE fund-raisers and front-men.

Asked whether the LTTE's nucleus still remained intact, he said external assistance was needed to prevent "the supply of energy" to this core particle. While Canada, the United States, India, the United Kingdom, and the European Union had already proscribed the LTTE, Sri Lanka would not relent in its campaign for further actions by the international community.

"The Navies of India and Sri Lanka are cooperating to the extent at which the interests of both countries are safeguarded vis-a-vis the threat that can emanate from the [maritime] movement of terrorists led by the LTTE." He would not, however, describe this naval cooperation in any politically-sensitive terminology.

Noting that Sri Lanka's huge engagement with China as "true friends" was not driven by a specific LTTE-dimension, he said "the fact is that we have China, India, Pakistan, and other friends who have helped us in counter-terrorism." Bogollagama also wanted urgent action by some key countries, whose local legislations, in his view, were already adequate for a "comprehensive" crackdown on the LTTE's front organisations.

Looking beyond the challenges of the LTTE and its "floating arsenals," Mr. Bogollagama said the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium, which New Delhi had already launched as an operational exercise, "is a sign of vital cooperation" among the littoral states, including Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Navy denies reports on alleged firing incident

Attention has been drawn to media reports of an alleged firing incident involving the Sri Lanka Navy on the night of 2nd June 2008 said to have resulted in the death of a fisherman from Tamil Nadu.

When these reports were brought to the attention of the Naval authorities in Sri Lanka, they conducted a thorough investigation. Its outcome has established that there is no involvement of the Sri Lanka Navy in the alleged incident.

It may be recalled that the Sri Lanka Navy has been acknowledged by Tamil Nadu fishermen on several occasions for rendering humanitarian assistance at times of distress at sea. However, it is also a reality that those with vested interests and sinister motives may have attempted to tarnish the positive image of the Sri Lanka Navy among Tamil Nadu fishermen. For its part, the Sri Lanka Navy follows a strict practice of treating Indian fishermen including those detected in Sri Lankan waters, in a humanitarian manner.

இந்தியத் தமிழன் விழிக்கும்போதுதான் நிலமை மாறும், அல்லது "இந்தியத் தேசியம்", "ஒன்றுபட்ட இந்தியா" என்று கோஷம் போட்டுக்கொண்டு, சினிமாவில் இந்தியக்கொடியை கண்டதும் விரைத்த நெஞ்சுடன் அதுக்கு வணக்கமும் செலுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தால் எதுவுமே நடக்கப்போவதில்லை. இந்தியத் தமிழர் கற்பனை செய்துகொண்டிருக்கும் அந்தப் போலி இந்தியத் தேசியவாதம் தான் அவர்களை ஒடுக்கி, அழித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்பதை அவர்கள் உணர வேண்டும். அதை தமிழ்நாட்டிலுள்ள சில சக்திகள் நடக்க விடப்போவதில்லை. இவர்கள் வட இந்தியா ஆதிக்க சக்திகளுக்கு வேண்டப்பட்டவர்கள், அல்லது அவர்களின் நிகழ்ச்சி நிரலுக்கமைய வேலை பார்ப்பவர்கள்.உதாரணத்துக்கு, இந்து ராம். துக்ளக் சோ போன்றவர்களைக் குறிப்பிடலாம்.
