Subject: Launch of New E- Learning Module in Tamil titled as "இருபதாம்  நூற்றாண்டில் தமிழ்பேசும் நிலப்பகுதிகளில் வாழ்ந்த சிறப்புமிகு ஆசிரியர்கள் "

Teachers form an Invaluable part of our life; they shape us what we are. It is ironic and disheartening to note that, the social setup of our present day lifestyle is designed in such a way that there is nothing much for us to offer to our teachers. Teachers are regarded in general as non commercial entities and are thus, systematically sidelined by the usual media. In spite of the existence of many media channels, the concept of archiving the life and vision of teachers is meagre. All the teachers, who imparted knowledge in the land of the Tamils to the Tamils, must be archived with priority.

The Scientific Tamil Foundation, which currently functions under my command, is determined to carve a change in this bleak scenario. thus as a first step, the Scientific Tamil  Foundation has decided to instil the responsibility of archiving the life and vision of the 20th century teachers who lived in Tamil speaking areas serving the Tamils to the digital wing of the Scientific Tamil Foundation, the Ariviyal Tamil Mandram You Tube Channel.

The channel will archive the life and vision of the 20th century teachers who lived in lived in Tamil speaking areas serving the Tamils. All streams of teachers will be included in the project, the students of these great teachers will by themselves are crossing their 60's and 70's age, and thus priority will be given in acquiring the interviews of the interested senior members of our society.

The following guidelines are framed for the videos,

[1] Complete Name of the Teacher, his / her attire, mannerisms, (photos any if available)

[2] What was the best part of Teaching in the teacher?

[3] How was the teacher approaching the subject?

[4] How was the teacher approaching the students?

[5] Recall any interesting incident involving the teacher and the narrator?

[6] What is the take home message for the youngsters from the narrated teacher’s life?

[7] How has the teacher’s life changed the life of the narrator?

Inclusion Criteria:

·  The interviews can be in audio or video format.

·  Each Talk should be only less than 10 minutes.

·  Talk will be by the student - about their teachers.

·  In the First Phase - the teachers who are not with us, as of date will be covered

·  Teachers from various countries (India, Malaysia, Singapore, Srilanka, Maldives, Indonesia, and Burma) are included in this project.

·  All Disciplines of teachers will be included
