இன்று கறுப்பு உடையில் என் கோபத்தை, வெறுப்பை, எண்ணத்தை பிரதிபலிப்கிறேன்.

சென்ற ஆண்டு போல் இந்த ஆண்டும் சிங்கள துணைத் தூதரகம் சின்னா பின்னாமாகட்டும்.

தமிழின வெற்றிக்கு, மேம்பாட்டிற்கு தற்போது நேரடியாக பங்களிப்பு செய்ய முடியாதவர்கள் - ஆகக் குறைந்தது கோயில், சர்ச், பள்ளி செல்லும்போது அல்லது தினசரி பிரார்த்தைகளில் - இந்த நாளிலிருந்து சேர்க்க வேண்டியது:

(1) தமிழனை - தமிழன் சுதந்திரத்தை - தமிழன் உரிமைகளை - தமிழன் உடைமைகளை - தமிழன் சொத்துக்களையும் கலாசாரத்தையும், தமிழையும் அழித்துவரும், அழிக்க முயன்றுவரும் சிங்கள கயவர்கள் - பௌத்த காடையர்கள் - சிங்கள பயங்கரவாதிகள் - சிங்களவனுக்கு துணைபோகும் அத்தனை கயவர்களையும் பயங்கரவாதிகளையும், நீதிதேவதையின் பலத்துடன் அழிக்க வேண்டும் - இந்த ஜகத்தில் இருந்து நிரந்தரமாக அகற்றவேண்டும்.

(2) தமிழர் நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும், மாற்றுக் கருத்துக்கள், வேறுபாடுகள், ஏற்றத்தாழ்வுகள், வேற்றுமைகளை புறந் தள்ளி - ஒன்றிணைந்து - துணிந்து - நேர்மையாக - உண்மையாக - மிகுந்த விவேகத்துடன் - புத்திசாதுரியத்துடன் இருளை அகற்றி, தமிழர் வாழ்வில் ஒளியை ஏற்ற இடையறாது ஒற்றுமையுடனும் தியாக சிந்தையுடனும் உழைக்க வேண்டும்.

Unless there is a paradigm shift in the South with regards to sharing of political power with the Tamils and other minorities there is not going to be any major change in the political landscape of Sri Lanka.

If Buddhism preaches nonviolence,why is there so much political violence in Sri Lanka today?

Sri Lanka's government is labeled as one of the "world's worst perpetrators of enforced disappearances", according to a study by US-based pressure group 'Human Rights Watch' (HRW). Will this ever change?

“Our motherland has been completely liberated from separatist terrorism”, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa said in a May 19 2009 “victory speech” to parliament. Now we have to defeat state terrorism run by Mahinda and his brothers.

Until Sri Lanka is liberated from its Sinhala-chauvanist genocidal regime, Tamils will seek to win an independent state in TamilEelam.

Sri Lanka's problems were caused by declining even-handedness and transparency of its democratic processes and institutions.

Absence of war is not peace. The Tamil Struggle for Freedom and Equality may have suffered a set back, but is far from being crushed. It will revive in its own ways in due course unless the root causes of the issues are addressed.

After 62 years, Tamils still expect the Sinhalese to be realistic and generous in supporting serious political reforms in the country, which will allow Tamils and other minorities to live with dignity, equality and peace!

Sri Lanka’s Independence and the video of Channel 4 have one think in common, both are authentic.

The history of post-independence Sri Lanka, from a Sri Lankan Tamil perspective, is a history of lost privileges, intensifying discrimination, failure of democratic institutions to protect their rights and finally,coercion by an overwhelmingly Sinhalese security establishment.

True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right.

Without moral and intellectual independence, there is no anchor for national independence.

Through the pushing of the rising for independence the wheel rolls of human history. Only Tamileelam can give true independence to Sri Lanka.

Great Heroes are long-lived who do not die in time; sculptors of independence.

The Tamil people deeply love independence, freedom and peace. But in the face of Sri Lanka’s aggression they have risen up, united as one man.

The ‘liberated’ have clearly registered their protest against their ‘liberator’.

What Mr Rajapaksa means to do about Sri Lanka’s biggest problem, the ethnic division between Tamils and Sinhalese, is uncertain. This, the root cause of a war that cost more than 200,000 lives, has not gone away with the Tigers’ demise. Yet there was no talk of reconciliation in this election—reflecting the sad fact that most Sinhalese do not consider it necessary. History suggests otherwise.

The election is "a win for China"! "What's going to be important is the anti-Western sentiment that Rajapakse rode to capture the Sinhalese vote."

Iran provided $450m for a power station, and a seven-month supply of oil on tick. Pakistan supplied Sri Lanka with arms for its final push, when America, among others, would not. So did China, which in 2008 overtook Japan as Sri Lanka’s biggest bilateral donor. It has provided over $1 billion in soft loans for an airport and port which Chinese workers are building in Hambantota—a potential haven, it would seem, for Chinese naval ships sent to guard the Indian Ocean sea-lanes. India, spooked by China’s rising interest in its near neighbour, has followed suit. It will extend loans of $700m to improve Sri Lanka’s railways. From a paltry base, its two-way trade with Sri Lanka is meanwhile surging: it was worth $3.9 billion in 2008. Western countries have allowed Sri Lanka’s dire record on human rights to dominate their relations with the island largely because they consider it to be of little strategic importance.

Once held up as one of the developing world's most successful democracies, Sri Lanka is now on the verge of entering the ranks of the world's pariah states.

Abuse of power makes travesty of democracy in Sri Lanka elections.

Despite having to contest elections, Rajapaksa had earlier said that democracy was a luxury that Sri Lanka could not afford, and his increasingly authoritarian presidential style has reflected that opinion

Having been politically rewarded for a hard-line approach that brought military victory, it is unlikely that President Rajapaksa will soften his approach to Sri Lanka's continuing problems, including addressing the root cause of Tamils.

Sri Lanka has forged new ties with China, Iran, Libya and Burma and has also adopted many of the methods by which they handle media critics and political opponents. If that is really what Sri Lankans want, then so be it — the West has many more pressing concerns. But the political crisis now facing them is the direct result of this shift in outlook.

Sri Lanka's now infamous litany of human rights abuses and wider allegations of war crimes. Sinhalese chauvinism has been on the rise for years and has increasingly found little space to accommodate non-Sinhalese, other than as barely tolerated outsiders such as Iran.

Rajapaksa has only vaguely articulated inclusion for Sri Lanka's 2.5 million Tamil minority and few Tamils hold any hope of meaningful inclusion. He has said that any resolution of the ''Tamil question'' will be determined internally and that external advice, much less mediation, is not welcome.

Since Rajapaksa's initial election in 2005, Sri Lanka has moved away from its traditional but increasingly critical Western allies and trading partners. Its closest allies are now China, Iran and Burma.

Many Tamils were not able to register to vote following their wholesale enforced displacement last year, and thereby have been denied their fundamental democratic rights.

Moving troops after the elections have ruined Sri Lanka’s reputation, whatever was left to begin with.

K D Night, the former Jamaican Foreign Minister who led the mission, expressed concern about the abuse of state media and other government resources in the pre-election period by Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The war was often cited as a reason for harassing opposition reporters and editors; the murder of one prominent journalist, Lasantha Wickrematunga, remains unsolved one year on. Reporters Without Borders noted some opposition Web sites were blocked in the days before the election. If Mr. Rajapaksa doesn't act to improve this situation, he will stifle precisely the kind of open discussion Sri Lankans need to settle their differences peacefully.

தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு இது 62 ஆண்டு கால அடக்குமுறை வாழ்வு. இந்த நாளை கறுப்பு நாளாக அடையாளப்படுத்தி சிறிலங்கா அரச பயங்கரவாத்தின் கோர முகத்தை அம்பலப்படுத்துவோம்.

சொந்த நாட்டு மக்கள் மீதே குண்டுவீசிக் கொன்றும், அவர்தம் வாழ்வுரிமையைப் பறித்தும், அங்கு வாழும் ஈழத் தமிழர்களையே அழித்துவரும் இன ஒடுக்கல் கொள்கையை, சிறிதும் கூச்சநாச்சமின்றி பின்பற்றியும் வருகிறது இந்த கொடிய அரசு.

1948-முதல் (இலங்கை சுதந்திரம் அடைந்த வருடம்) தமிழர்கள் தமது வாழ்வாதாரங்களை ஒவ்வொரு துறையிலும் இழக்கத் தொடங்கினர்.

1956-ல் கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட “சிங்களம் மட்டும்” சட்டம் கலாச்சாரப் (மொழி) படுகொலையின் தொடக்கமாகும்.

1958-ம் (அதன் பின்பும்) நடைபெற்ற இனக்கலவரம் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட பொருளாதார சரீர இனப்படுகொலையாகும்.

1970-லும் அதன் பின்பும் தமிழ் மாணவரின் மேல்நிலைக்கல்வி முடக்கப்பட்டது.

1972 –ல் கொணரப்பட்ட குடியரசு யாப்பின் மூலம், இலங்கை ஒரு பௌத்த சிங்கள நாடாக பிரகடனப்பட்டது.

1981-ல் அரசின் அமைச்சர்களும், இராணுவ போலிஸ் படையினரும் சேர்ந்து யாழ்ப்பாண பொதுசன நூலகத்தை எரித்தமை, அரசின் இன அழிப்பு நடவடிக்கையின் உத்தேசத்தை வெளிப்படையாக எடுத்துக் காட்டியது.

இலங்கையை ஆண்டு வந்த பல் வேறு சிங்கள அதிபர்களால் தொடர்ந்து வெவ்வேறு வகைகளில் நடாத்தப்பட்ட இனப்படுகொலைகளில், நாகர்கோவில் விமானக் குண்டுத் தாக்குதல், செம்மணிப் புதைகுழிகள் போன்ற எண்ணிலா நிகழ்வுகள் சாட்சி பகரும். அதேபோல் கடந்த சில தசாப்தங்களாக சிங்கள இராணுவத்தால் தொடர்ந்து நடத்தப்பட்ட கொலை, பாலியல் வல்லுறவு, சித்திரவதை, காணாமற்போதல் ஆகிய யாவும் ஓர் “சாதாரண நாளாந்தர நிகழ்வு” களாகின.

இப்படியே இன்னும் பட்டியல் நீண்டு செல்லுகின்றது முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் பேரழிவு வரை.

எமது பாசத்துக்கும் அன்புக்கும் உரிய புலம்பெயர்வாழ் மக்களே, இவ்வளவு காலமும் நாம் பட்ட துன்பங்கள் நீங்க நாம் அனைவரும் ஒன்றினைந்து உழைக்க வேண்டிய தருணம் இதுவே ஆகும். இலங்கையில் நடைபெற்ற தேர்தலில் எமது மக்கள் ஒரு செய்தியை சொல்லி தெளிவு படுத்தியிருக்கிறார்கள், அதாவது தமிழர்கள் வேறு சிங்களவர்கள் வேறு என்றும் நாம் ஒரு போதும் இணைந்து வாழமுடியாது என்பதுவே அதுவாகும். உறவுகளே எமது மக்கள் திறந்த வெளி சிறைச்சாலையில் ஆயுத முனையில் இருந்துகொண்டே அவர்களது உணர்வுகளை வெளிப்படுத்தி உள்ளார்கள், புலம்பெயர்ந்து வாழும் நாம் இந்நாளில் தமிழர் என்ற ஒரு சொல்லிற்குள் ஒன்றினைவோம் என்று உறுதி எடுத்து கொள்வதோடு மட்டும் நிற்காமல் எங்களது தாயகத்தை மீட்க எமது அளப்பரிய பணிகளை தொடர்ந்து முன்னெடுப்போம்.

புலம்பெயர் தேசங்களில் வியாபார, முதலீட்டு நிறுவனங்களை நடத்தி வரும் உரிமையாளர்களுக்கு அன்பு கலந்த மிகவும் தாழ்மையான வேண்டுகோள் என்னவென்றால் தயவு செய்து "ஸ்ரீலங்கா" என்ற வார்த்தை பிரயொகங்களை உங்கள் நிறுவனங்களில் எங்கும் பாவிர்ப்பதை தவிர்த்து கொள்ளுங்கள். நாம் தமிழர்கள் தமிழர்களாகவே இருப்போம், எமது இனத்தை அழித்த தேசத்தின் பெயரை உச்சரிப்பதால் எமது நாட்டுக்காக உயிர் நீர்த்த மாவீர செல்வங்களையும் எமது மக்களினது ஆத்மாவையும் நாம் இழிவு படுத்துவதற்கு சமனாகும்.

தமிழின அழிப்பினை நிறுத்தவும், சிறிலங்கா அரச பயங்கரவாதத்தைக் கண்டித்தும் தமிழீழ மக்களின் தன்னாட்சி உரிமையை வலியுறுத்தியும் ஒங்கிக் குரல் கொடுப்போம் என்று பிரித்தானிய இளையோர் அமைப்பு ஆகிய நாம் உங்களுடன் சேர்ந்து உறுதி எடுத்துக் கொள்கின்றோம்.
