"வசந்தகால தொடக்கத்தில் எழுதிய வரிகள்" / "Lines Written in Early Spring"

 

 

 

"தோப்பின் நிழலில் சாய்ந்து இருக்கையில்

தோன்றின மனதில் ஆயிரம் எண்ணங்கள்

தோரணமாய் தொங்கிய இன்ப சிந்தனையில்

தோய்ந்து சில சோகத்தையும் தந்தன!"

 

"இயற்கை மனித குலத்தின் ஆன்மாவுடன்

இறுக்கமாக தொடர்பை பிணைக்கும் பொழுது

இதயம்வருந்தி என்னை சிந்திக்க வைத்தது

இவனேன் மனிதகுலத்துடன் பிணையவில்லை என்று?"

 

"பசுமை வனப்பகுதியில் காட்டுச்செடிக் கூட்டத்தில்

பஞ்சுச்செடி அழகிய மாலையை சூட்டிட

பல்லாயிரம் மலரும் தாம்சுவாசிக்கும் காற்றை

பரவசத்துடன் அனுபவித்து இன்பம் கண்டன!"

 

"என்னைசுற்றி பறவைகள் துள்ளி விளையாடி

எண்ண முடியா கற்பனையில் மகிழ்ந்து

எக்களித்து இன்பத்தில் மூழ்கி எழுந்து

எட்டிஎட்டி மெல்லத் தாவி திரிந்தன!"

 

"அரும்பிய கிளைகள் தென்றலை பிடிக்க

அகண்டு விரிந்து விசிறியாய் மலர்ந்து

அழகு சேர்த்து இன்பம் கொட்டும்

அதிசயக் காட்சியில் நானும் மகிழ்ந்தேன்!"

 

"அழகிய இயற்கையின் புனிததிட்டமே இதுவென

அறிவுப்பு ஒன்றைச் சொர்க்கம் அனுப்ப

அவனின் அழிவைநிறுத்த புனிததிட்டம் என்னவென்று

அவனைப் பார்த்து நான் புலம்பினேன்!"

அவனைப் பார்த்து - கடவுளை / சொர்க்கத்தை பார்த்து

While in a grove I sate reclined,

In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts

Bring sad thoughts to the mind."

 

"To her fair works did Nature link

The human soul that through me ran;

And much it grieved my heart to think

What man has made of man."

 

"Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,

The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;

And ’tis my faith that every flower

Enjoys the air it breathes."

 

"The birds around me hopped and played,

Their thoughts I cannot measure

But the least motion which they made

It seemed a thrill of pleasure."

வில்லியம் வேர்ட்ஸ்வொர்த் / William Wordsworth (7 ஏப்ரல் 1770 - 23 ஏப்ரல் 1850) ஒரு முக்கிய ஆங்கில காதல் கவிஞர் ஆவார். தி பிரிலூட் [The Prelude] வேர்ட்ஸ்வொர்த்தின் தலைசிறந்த படைப்பாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது, பாதியளவிற்கு சுயசரிதமான அவருடைய தொடக்ககால கவிதையான இதை இந்தக் கவிஞர் பலமுறை திருத்தியும் நீட்டியும் எழுதியிருக்கிறார். வேர்ட்ஸ்வொர்த் 1843 முதல் 1850 இல் அவர் இறக்கும்வரை இங்கிலாந்தின் அரசவைக் கவிஞராகவும் இருந்துள்ளார். / William Wordsworth was one of the founders of English Romanticism and one its most central figures and important intellects.
