எங்கே மனம் அச்சமின்றி இருக்கிறதோ

எங்கே தலை நிமிர்ந்து இருக்கிறதோ

எங்கே அறிவு சுதந்திரமாக இருக்கிறதோ

எங்கே உலகம் குறுகிய பார்வையால்

சிதைந்து பிரிந்து போகாமல் இருக்கிறதோ

எங்கே உண்மையின் ஆழத்தில் இருந்து

வார்த்தைகள் பிறக்கிறதோ

எங்கே அயராத முயற்சி சோர்வுயின்றி

முழுமை நோக்கி கரங்களை நீட்டுதோ

எங்கே பகுத்தறிவின் தெளிவான நீரோடை

பாலைவன மணலில் வழி தவறிப் போகவில்லையோ

எங்கே எப்பொழுதும் விரியும் சிந்தனையும் செயலும்

மனதை முன்னோக்கிச் செலுத்துகிறதோ

அந்த சுதந்திர சொர்க்கத்திற்கு என் தந்தையே

என் நாட்டை விழித்தெழச் செய்யுங்கள்!
