தாய்லாந்தில் வைத்து கைது செய்யப்பட்ட இலங்கைத் தமிழர்கள் கட்டம் கட்டமாக இலங்கைக்கு நாடு கடத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றனர்.

கடந்த இரண்டு வாரங்களில் சுமார் 50 இலங்கைத் தமிழர்கள் கொழும்புக்கு நாடு கடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் தகவல்கள் வெளியாகியுள்ளன.

தாய்லாந்தின் குடிவரவுச் சட்டங்களை மீறி அங்கு தங்கியிருந்ததாகக் கூறி இரண்டு பாரிய சுற்றிவளைப்புகளின் போது சுமார் 200 வரையான இலங்கை தமிழர்களைத் தாய்லாந்து பொலிஸ் கைது செய்திருந்தது. மூன்றாவது நாடு ஒன்றில் அடைக்கலம் தேடும் நோக்கிலேயே அவர்கள் தாய்லாந்தில் தங்கியிருந்ததாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது.

இவர்களில் 50 பேர் வரையில் கடந்த இரண்டு வாரங்களில் இலங்கைக்கு கட்டாயமாகத் திருப்பி அனுப்பப்பட்டு ள்ளனர்.

ஏனையோர் பாங்கொக்கில் உள்ள தடுப்பு முகாம் ஒன்றில் தடுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இவர்களுக்கான அவசரகாலக் கடவுச்சீட்டு மற்றும் விமானப் பயணச்சீட்டு ஆகியவற்றை ஒழுங்கு செய்து கொடுக்கும் முயற்சியில் தாய்லாந்து அதிகாரிகள் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர்.

அதேவேளை இலங்கைத் தூதரகமும் இவர்களைக் கொழும்புக்குக் கொண்டு வரும் முயற்சிகளில் தீவிரமாக ஈடுபட்டுள்ளது.

ஆயினும் இலங்கைக்கு நாடு கடத்தப்பட்டவர்கள் தமது குடும்பத்துடன் இணைந்து கொண்டனரா என்பது பற்றி தகவல் ஏதும் வெளியாகவில்லை.

Sri Lanka: Deporting Tamils to Sri Lanka from Thailand

Dear Secretary General,

I am dismayed with the news that more than 50 Tamils have been deported back to Sri Lanka from which they have been try to flee for safety.

Sri Lanka and its leadership has been accused of committing some of the serious war crimes and crimes against humanity in this century. Reports, video evidence testimonies and even leaked cables confirm this. Therefore, sending these hapless people back in the hands of these leaders seem like a death penalty.

I humbly urge to do all in your power to safeguard these and other Tamils.
