மன்னாரிலுள்ள பிரபல பாடசாலையொன்றைச் சேர்ந்த உயர்தர மாணவர்கள் இருவர் இனந்தெரியாதோரால் கடத்திச் செல்லப்பட்டு கடுமையாகக் தாக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் நேற்று இரவு விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

நேற்று முன்தினம் திங்கட்கிழமை மேற்படி மாணவர்கள் கடத்தப்பட்டிருந்த நிலையிலேயே நேற்று செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை இரவு விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர் என்று பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.

மன்னார் நகர் பகுதியைச் 18 வயதுடைய மாணவர் ஒருவரும் மன்னார், சிறிய குருமடத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 19 வயதுடைய மற்றுமொரு மாணவருமே இவ்வாறு கடத்திச் செல்லப்பட்டு கடுமையாகத் தாக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

மேற்படி இருவரும் நேற்று முன்தினம் பாடசாலைக்குச் சென்ற நிலையில் வீடு திரும்பவில்லை என்று அம்மாணவர்களின் பெற்றோர் பொலிஸில் முறைப்பாடு செய்திருந்தனர்.

இந்நிலையில் இவ்விரு மாணவர்களும் நேற்று இரவு வாகனமொன்றின் மூலம் மன்னார், உயிலங்குளம், கள்ளிக்கட்டை காட்டுப் பகுதிக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில் கடத்தப்பட்டவர்களால் கடுமையாகத் தாக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

இதனையடுத்து அவ்விருவரும் காயமடைந்த நிலையில் அப்பகுதியினூடாகப் பயணித்த வாகனமொன்றின் உதவியுடன் மன்னார் வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

சம்பவத்தை அடுத்து வைத்தியசாலைக்குச் சென்ற பொலிஸார் மாணவர்களிடம் வாக்குமூலங்களைப் பதிவு செய்து விசாரணைகளை முன்னெடுத்து வருவதுடன் அவர்களுக்கான பாதுகாப்பையும் வழங்கி வருகின்றனர்.

• Johansen Arulananantham (19) and Gracian Romalson (18) at Mannaar St. Xavier’s Boys College, were abducted by armed men who came in a white van Monday around 2:00 p.m.
