இலங்கையின் இறுதிப்போரின் போது மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட படுகொலைகளை வைத்து தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட "இலங்கையின் கொலைக்களங்கள்" என்ற திரைப்படத்தை மையப்படுத்தி பிரித்தானியாவின் பட்டதாரி மாணவர்கள் நால்வர் குறுந்திரைப்படங்களை தயாரித்துள்ளனர்.இதில் ஒரு குறுந்திரைப்படத்தை தயாரித்த கிறிஸ்டினா பிச்சி என்பவர், தாம் குறுந்திரைப்படத்தை தயாரித்த போது எந்த கட்டத்தையும் தேவையற்றது என்று தவிர்க்க முடியாத நிலைக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டதாக குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

இந்தநிலையில் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட நான்கு குறுந்திரைப்படங்களும் லண்டனில் உள்ள சர்வதேச ஆவணப்பட கண்காட்சியின் போதும் ஐரோப்பிய பல்கலைக்கழகங்களிலும் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டன.அதனை பெருமளவானோர் பார்த்ததாக குறுந்திரைப்பட தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

[size=5]A film by an Italian documentary maker based on Channel 4's award-winning Sri Lanka's Killing Fields has been made public.[/size]

[size=5]ITN Productions, which made the original Sri Lanka's Killing Fields, asked graduate film students to make a short film based on the original Channel 4 documentaries.[/size]

[size=4][size=5]The one which the production team felt showed an original and innovative response was by Cristina Picchi, 30, a filmmaker and writer based in London.[/size][/size]

[size=4][size=5]"When asked to edit a video using the film's footage I felt overwhelmed: everything seemed so important yet, when de-contextualised from the original narrative, so horrific and unnecessarily graphic. I then decided to take a different approach.[/size][/size]
