இன்றும் முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் வைத்தியசாலை மீதும், மக்கள் குடியிருப்புக்கள் மீதும் தொடர்ச்சியாக சிறீலங்கா படையினர் எறிகணைத் தாக்குதல் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர். ஆரம்பகட்டத் தகவல்களின் படி அங்கு பலர் கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளதாக செய்திகள் தெரிவிக்கின்றது. முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் வைத்தியசாலையில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான காயப்பட்ட பொதுமக்கள் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்டத்தின் முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் பகுதியில் உள்ள தற்காலிக மருத்துவமனை மீது சிறிலங்கா படையினர் மீண்டும் இன்று காலை நடத்திய அகோர எறிகணைத் தாக்குதல்களில் பெருமளவிலான மக்கள் கொல்லப்பட்டும் காயமடைந்தும் உள்ளதாக வன்னியில் இருந்து 'புதினம்' செய்தியாளர் தெரிவிக்கின்றார்.

'மக்கள் பாதுகாப்பு வலய'மான முள்ளிவாய்க்காலில் தற்காலிகமாக இயங்கிவந்த முல்லைத்தீவு பொதுமருத்துவமனை மீது இன்று செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை காலை 8:00 மணியளவில் சிறிலங்கா படையினர் எறிகணைத் தாக்குதல்களை அகோரமாக நடத்தியதாக எமது செய்தியாளர் தெரிவித்தார்.

மீட்புப் பணிகள் அங்கு நடைபெற்று வருவதனால் கொல்லப்பட்டவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை எதுவும் இதுவரை கிடைக்கப்பெறவில்லை.

கடந்த மே மாதம் 2 ஆம் நாளில் இந்த மருத்துவமனை மீது சிறிலங்கா படையினர் நடத்திய அகோர எறிகணைத் தாக்குதல்களில் நோயாளர்கள் உட்பட 64 பேர் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதுடன் 87 பேர் காயமடைந்துள்ளனர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

Sri Lanka Army (SLA) fired artillery shells killing at least 47 civilians, patients and the Administrative Officer K. Tharmakulasingam Tuesday morning around 8:00 a.m. At least 55 patients sustained serious injuries in the attack on the makeshift hospital which was functioning at Mu'l'li-vaaykkaal junior school. The attack came while around 2,000 wounded patients within the last 3 days were waiting for the ICRC to be transported in the ship. More than 2,600 civilians were killed within the past 3 days in Sri Lankan attacks in Vanni.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Shanmugarajah and his family narrowly escaped from the attack.

ICRC ship to transport 500 of around 2,000 civilians was also scheduled to reach Mu'l'li-vaaykkaal Tuesday.

Mullivaikkal hospital attacked; 47 killed

Sri Lankan Army artillery shell hit the only functioning hospital in Mullivaikkal inside safe zone, killing 47 patients and care takers and more than 50 others were injured in the attack.The Sri Lankan Army attack continued unabated from last Saturday evening using artillery shells, cluster bombs including air attacks.

முள்ளிவாய்கால் மருத்துவமனை மீது சிறீலங்காப் படையினர் அகோர தாக்குதல்களை நடத்தியுள்ளனர். இத்தாக்குதல்களில் 47 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர். மேலும் 55 பேர் காயமடைந்துள்ளனர்.

இன்று செவ்வாய்க்கால் காலை 8:00 மணியளவில் முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் மருத்துவமனை சிறீலங்காப் படையினர் எறிகணைத் தாக்குதல்களை நடத்தியுள்ளனர்.

இதன்போதே 47 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர். மேலும் 55 பேர் காயமடைந்துள்ளனர்.இதில் இரு வைத்தியர்களும் காயமடைந்திருப்பதாக ஊர்ஜிதப்படுத்தப்படாத செய்திகள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.
