எமது யாழ்ப்பாணம் இந்துக் கல்லூரியின் உயர் தர 92ம்ஆண்டுபுலம்பெயர் பழைய மாணவர்களின் கலந்துரையாடல்களின் பிரகாரம், எமது தாயக தமிழ் சிறார்களின் கல்வி மேம்பாட்டுக்கான செயற்றிட்டங்களின் தொடர்ச்சியாக: இவ்வருடம் க.பொ.த சாதாரண தரப் பரீட்சையில் கணித பாடத்தில் சித்தி வீதத்தினை உயர்த்தும் நோக்கத்தில் கணிதபாடக் கையேடுகளைசுமார் 10000 கணிதபாடச் சித்தியில் இடர்ப்படும் மாணவர்களுக்காக அச்சிட்டு வழங்கும் கைங்கரியத்தில் ‘கல்விக்கான வீதியோட்டம்’ (5km marathon) ஒன்றைநடாத்த உத்தேசித்துள்ளோம். இந்ததமிழ் மாணவர்களின் கற்றலுக்குக் கைகொடுக்கும் பணியில் புலம் பெயர் தமிழர்களின் ஆதரவைப் பெற்றுத் தருவதற்கு எம்முடன் கைகோர்த்து இணையத் தளம் மூலமான ஊடக ஆதரவைவழங்கி உதவுமாறு மிக அன்பாய் வேண்டுகின்றோம். மேலும் திரட்டப்படும் நிதிதொடர்பான வெளிப்படைத் தன்மையையும் நோக்கத்தையும்

Dear Donors, friends and well-wishers

On July 19th, 2015 at Clapham Common, Bandstand, we are lacing up our trainers and running 5km Marathon to raise money for printing the handbooks for 10,000 GCE Ordinary Level students.

 Who is running?

With the support of our friends and families, 25 old boys of Jaffna Hindu College 92 Advanced Level batch, who are life member of JHC OBA UK, are running on the day.

Purpose

In the current post-conflict situation, nearly 40-50% of students are failing to obtain the required ordinarypass(35 marks) in Maths and Tamil in GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) to progress further into GCE Advanced Level (A/L).

We have joined together with educational experts and friends in Sri Lanka to support their proposed plan to print and deliver the handbooks to 10,000 identified students from several educational zones in Tamil majority areas such as Batticaloa, Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mannar, Mullaitheevu, Muttur and Upcountry.

Handbooks have been prepared and designed by the Maths and Tamil educational experts from the department of education in order to increase the pass rates of Maths and Tamil to facilitate the  upwards movements from GCE O/L  to Advanced Level (A/L).  Each handbook will cost Sri Lankan Rupees 125 to print.

 

We need your support to fulfil our responsibilities and efforts

Not passing the GCE O/L is nearly the end of the education for students in Sri Lanka as there are not much of vocational educational, or infrastructure facilities that will provide them with a reasonable employment for the rest of their lives. This is driving our younger generation into brink of failure.  Without achieving the full potential, their future looks bleak and fearful thus this creates unrest and social issues in the long term.

These issues must be tackled to ensure that our children are receiving proper educational support that provides meaningful employment opportunities to break the cycle of generational poverty over the period of time.

Funds are collected via “virginmoenygiving.com” which will be channelled via UK registered charity, directly to Tamil educationalist and the final details will be available to all donors.

அவரிடம் கூறினேன், இவ்வாறான பணம் சேர்க்கும் நிகழ்வுகளை் குறித்து எமது ஊடகங்களில் நாம் வெளிப்படுத்துவது இல்லை... காரணம் அந்த பணம் சேர்க்கப்பட்டு பின்னர் உரியமுறையில் தாயகத்தில் செலவு செய்யப்படாமல், தவறுகள் இடம்பெற்றால், அதனை ஊக்குவித்த ஊடகம் என்ற வகையில் எம்மீது குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் வரும் என்பதனால் அதனை தவிர்க்கிறோம்... என்றேன்...

 

இல்லை எமது இந்த நடவடிக்கை 100 வீதம் வெளிப்படைத் தன்மையானது என ஏற்பாட்டளர்களில் ஒருவர் உறுதி அள்த்தார்.... அதற்கு அமைவாக யாழ் இந்துவின் பழைய மாணவர்கள் செயற்பட்டு இருக்கிறார்கள்... அதன் விபரங்களை எமக்கு  அனுப்பியும் உள்ளார்கள்..  அவர்களை அவர்களின் நேர்மையை பாராட்டாமல் இருக்க முடியாது... வாழ்த்துகிறோம் உங்கள் பணி தொடரட்டும்...
