தமிழக மீனவர் மரணம் தொடர்பான யாழ் சட்ட மருத்துவ அதிகாரியின் அறிக்கையைத் தென்பகுதி அதிகாரிகள் நிராகரித்தார்கள்

யாழ்ப்பாணம் நெடுந்தீவில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட தமிழக மீனவரின் உடல் குறித்து யாழ் மாவட்ட சட்ட மருத்துவ அதிகாரி சமர்ப்பித்த அறிக்கையை தென்னிலங்கை சட்ட மருத்துவ அதிகாரிகளின் குழுவொன்று நிராகரித்தது.

மீனவரின் நெஞ்சிலும், இடது தொடை, வலது கை, வலது காற் பெருவிரல் ஆகியவற்றில் அடி காயங்களும், வேறு காயங்களும் காணப்பட்டதாகவும், உடலின் பின்புறத்தில் அடையாளங்கள் காணப்பட்டதாகவும் யாழ் சட்ட மருத்துவ அதிகாரி சிவரூபன் தமது அறிக்கையில் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தார்.

அந்த அறிக்கையை ஊர்காவல்துறை நீதிமன்றத்தில் அவர் சமர்ப்பித்த பின்னர், மற்றொரு அறிக்கையைத் தருமாறு, மூத்த சட்ட மருத்துவ அதிகாரிகள் மூன்று பேரைக் கொண்ட குழுவிடம் நீதிமன்றம் கோரியது.

யாழ் மாவட்ட சட்ட மருத்துவ அதிகாரியின் அறிக்கையைத் தாம் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளவில்லையெனவும், அதில் சில பகுதிகள் தெளிவற்றவை எனவும் கொழும்பு, கொழும்பு தெற்கு மற்றும் கண்டி சட்ட மருத்துவ அதிகாரிகளைக் கொண்ட குழு கடந்த வெள்ளிக்கிழமை ஊர்காவல்துறை நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு அறிவித்துள்ளது.

ஏப்ரல் மாதம் இரண்டாந் திகதி மீன்பிடிக்கச் சென்ற நான்கு தமிழக மீனவர்கள் பின்னர் சடலமாக மீட்கப்பட்டார்கள். உலகக் கிண்ணப் போட்டியில், இந்திய கிறிக்கற் அணியிடம் இலங்கைக் கிறிக்கற் அணி தோல்வியடைந்ததையடுத்து, அந்த மீனவர்களை இலங்கைக் கடற்படையினர் கொலை செய்தார்களென உறவினர்களும் தமிழக அரசியல்வாதிகளும் குற்றம் சாட்டுகிறார்கள்.

Colombo fakes autopsy of Tamil Nadu fisherman

Four Tamil Nadu fishermen were reported missing in the seas off Neduntheevu (Delft) islet in Jaffna in late April. Later, a decapitated body bearing a tattoo mark of The Cross on one of the arms was washed ashore and was identified as that of one of the missing Tamil Nadu fishermen. The family of the victim came to Jaffna, received the remains and conducted the burial at Naavaanthu'rai Church. Meanwhile, the Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) from Jaffna Teaching Hospital, Dr. Sivarupan, who conducted the autopsy report in Jaffna was summoned to Colombo on Tuesday this week to sign a forged autopsy report by medical authorities in Colombo, informed sources in Colombo said.

Dr. Sivarupan, who conducted the autopsy report, had earlier revealed that the Tamil Nadu fisherman whose body was found at Delft in late April had internal injuries and pins inserted into the body.

On Tuesday, he was summoned to Colombo and questioned by Colombo Chief Judicial Medical Officer Dr. Ananda Samarasekare and Colombo South JMO and the Kandy JMO for nearly three hours challenging him on his evidence in the autopsy report.

The JMOs in Colombo have also inquired on whether the Jaffna Teaching Hospital had adequate facilities to conduct the autopsy.

Dr. Sivarupan was ‘advised’ by the panel of doctors at the Colombo Judicial Medical office to agree to the forged report prepared by them and was warned that if he refused to sign the forged report he would have to face the consequences.

The forged Colombo report will be officially handed over to the Indian government. In the report, natural causes are now cited as the reason for the death, informed sources in Colombo further said.

In the meantime, Tamil Nadu fishermen have said that they had seen a trawler with four fellow fishermen under the custody of Sri Lanka Navy for more than 3 hours in late April.

Colombo authorities forge a crucial evidence that established a need for inquiry against the Sri Lanka Navy for the torture and murder of the Tamil Nadu fisherman, sources in Colombo said.
