இஸ்ரேல் ஐ.நா மனித உரிமைப் பேரவை உறவைத் துண்டித்தது

இஸ்ரேலுக்கு எதிரான தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டதால் ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமை அமைப்புடனானஅனைத்து உறவுகளையும் துண்டிப்பதாக அந்நாடு அறிவித்துள்ளது.

பலஸ்தீனத்தின் உரிமையை அபகரிக்கும் வகையில் இஸ்ரேலிய குடியேற்றங்கள் அமைக்கப்படுகின்றனவா? என்பது குறித்து சர்வதேச அளவிலான விசாரணை நடத்த ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமை பேரவையில் தீர்மானம் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது.

பாகிஸ்தான் தலைமையில் இஸ்லாமிய நாடுகள் கடந்த வாரம் இத்தீர்மானத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்தன. அமெரிக்கா மட்டுமே தீர்மானத்தை எதிர்த்தது.

இதைத் தொடர்ந்து ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமை பேரவையுடனான உறவைத் துண்டிப்பதாக இஸ்ரேல் அறிவித்திருக்கிறது. ___

அவர்களுக்கு தெரியும் ஜநா சபையால் ஒன்றும் பெரிதாக சாதிக்க முடியாது. அமெரிக்கா விரும்பினால் மட்டும் தான் ஜநா செய்யும்.

இஸ்ரேல் உலகிற்கு தவறான வழியை இனங்காட்டுகிறது. இதனை அமெரிக்கா உட்பட்ட நாடுகள் கண்டிக்க வேண்டும். இஸ்ரேலுக்கு சரியான அழுத்தங்களைக் கொடுத்து ஐநா தீர்மானத்திற்கு ஏற்ப நடந்து கொள்ள வற்புறுத்த வேண்டும். இப்படியே விட்டால்.. இந்த வழியை சிறீலங்கா போன்ற நாடுகளும்.. மனித இனப்படுகொலைகளை நியாயப்படுத்த பின்பற்றலாம்..!

இஸ்ரேல் உலகிற்கு தவறான வழியை இனங்காட்டுகிறது. இதனை அமெரிக்கா உட்பட்ட நாடுகள் கண்டிக்க வேண்டும். இஸ்ரேலுக்கு சரியான அழுத்தங்களைக் கொடுத்து ஐநா தீர்மானத்திற்கு ஏற்ப நடந்து கொள்ள வற்புறுத்த வேண்டும். இப்படியே விட்டால்.. இந்த வழியை சிறீலங்கா போன்ற நாடுகளும்.. மனித இனப்படுகொலைகளை நியாயப்படுத்த பின்பற்றலாம்..!

மேற்குலகம் கைவிட்டால் சிங்களத்தால் அதிகம் ஒன்றுமே செய்யமுடியாது. இஸ்ரேல் மேற்குலகத்தை கைக்குள் வைத்துள்ளது.

இதை முன்னுதாரணமாகக் கொண்டு இலங்கையும் உறவைத் துண்டித்தால் நல்லம்..!

Diplomatic offensive

US SECRETARY of State Hillary Clinton is a woman in a mighty hurry –– at least where diplomatic offensives against small nations are concerned.

Even before the ink on [the recent] UNHRC resolution against Sri Lanka had dried, she demanded a quick response. She called for the implementation of the “constructive recommendations of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission” and the adoption of “necessary measures to address accountability”. The international community had, she opined, “sent a strong signal that Sri Lanka will only achieve lasting peace through real reconciliation and accountability.

But strangely, mum’s the word on the part of Clinton as regards a damning resolution the UNHRC adopted on Israel on the same day, calling for a fact-finding mission … to investigate alleged human rights violations relating to the Israeli settlements. It was passed with 36 votes while 10 abstained; the United States was the only country to vote against it. The proponents of that resolution slammed Israel for its activities in Palestine, claiming that its settlements violated international laws.

The knee-jerk reaction of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been … to denounce the UNHRC as a “‘hypocritical council with an automatic majority against Israel”. What [has] Clinton … got to say to this? How would [she] have reacted if Sri Lanka had acted in a similar manner, refusing to cooperate with the UNHRC and insulting it? Will the US … recognise the right of the proponents of the resolution on Israel … to have it implemented?

The UNHRC has also adopted a resolution calling for recognising the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, with … only the US opposing it. Will Clinton demand that the verdict of the UNHRC be respected and Palestine [be] granted self-determination? A quick response is called for!
