The above-mentioned phenomenon has to be seen in the context of the continuing political, economic, social, cultural and environmental oppression of ethnic minorities by successive ethnic majoritarian governments for more than 64 years from the time of independence till today. In the last 4/5 decades, the Northeast (the traditional homeland of the ethnic minorities) has been increasingly militarised and in the last six years of the present regime it has become acutely militarised with civil administration under the control of the occupation army. Freedom of movement, association and expression have been severely restricted by the army. The government has been severely restricting aid agents from reaching the IDPs affected by the war and has been refusing to hols provincial council election in the North and refusing to relegate power to the elected council in the East. It has been settling Sinhalese colonies in the areas of the IDPs while they have been forcibly detained in camps. The army has been setting up businesses all over the North while the IDPs have been detained in camps. Reports of international, regional and national human rights organisations show what has been happening:}

வன்னி யுத்தத்திற்கு முன்னதாக அந்தப் பெருநிலப்பரப்பு விடுதலைப்புலிகளின் கட்டுப்பாட்டின் கீழ் இருந்தது. போருக்கு முன்னதாக விடுதலைப் புலிகளின் கட்டுப்பாட்டுப் பகுதிகளில் சில தாக்குதல் சம்பவங்கள் இடம்பெற்றன. அந்தத் தாக் குதல் ஆழ ஊடுருவும் படையினரால் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டதாக விடுதலைப்புலிகளால் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. இறுதி யுத்த த்தில் விடுதலைப்புலிகள் தோற் கடிக்கப்படுவதற்கும் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான தமிழ் மக்கள் துடிதுடித்துப் பலியாகிப் போவதற்கும் இந்த ஆழ ஊடுருவும் படையே காரணம் எனலாம். அப்படியானால் ஆழ ஊடுருவும் படை எப்படி புலிக ளின் கட்டுப்பாட்டுப் பகுதிக்குள் நுழைந்தது என்ற கேள்வி எழுமாயின், புலிகளுக்குள் இருந்த ஒற்றர்களே அதற்குக் காரணம் எனலாம்.

இவை போரினால் தமிழ் இனத்தை அழித்த வரலாற்றில் ஆழ ஊடுருவும் படையின் பங்கைக் குறிப்பதாகும். இப்போது ஒட்டுமொத்த தமிழினத்தையும் அழிக்கும் நோக்குடன் போதைவஸ்து என்ற ஆழ ஊடுருவும் படை எங்கள் வடபுலத் தில் நுழைந்து விட்டது. எங்கள் இனத்தில் இருக்கக்கூடிய- போதை வஸ்தின் அழிவைப் புரியாத-ஒரு சிறு தரகுப் பணத் திற்காக விலைபோகும் வஞ்சகர்கள் போதைவஸ்தின் நுழைவுக்கு உறுதுணையாக இருக்கின்றனர். போதைவஸ்து பாவனை வடக்கில் அதிக ரித்து விட்டால் எந்த வீடுமே நிம்மதியாக உறங்க முடியாது. எங்கும் வன்மங்கள் மலிந்து போகும். பாலியல் துன்புறுத்தல்கள், அடாவடித் தனங்கள் தலை விரித்தாடும்.

மண் மீட்புக்காகப் போரிட்ட ஒரு இனம் போர் முடிந்து மூன்று ஆண்டுகளில் போதைப் பாவனையால் சின்னாபின்னப் பட்டு சீரழிந்து போன தென்ற வரலாறே மிஞ்சிக் கொள்ளும். அதிலும் வடக்கில் ஆழ ஊடுருவியுள்ள போதைப் பொருள் பாவனையில் மாணவர்கள் உள்வாங்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்கள் என்ற தகவலால் கிறுதி வருகிறது. ஆ! கடவுளே, எங்கள் மாண வச் செல்வங்கள் மத்தியில் போதைப் பொருள் பாவனையா? இதனை அடியோடு அழிக்க மக்கள் தயாராவது காலத்தின் கட்டாய தேவை.

அதேநேரம் போதைப்பொருள் விற்பனையில் ஈடுபடுபவர்களுக்கு நீதி பரிபாலனம் கடும் நட வடிக்கை எடுத்தாக வேண் டும். இக் குற்றவாளிகள் தொடர்பில் சட்டத் தரணி கள் நிதானமாகச் செயற்படுவது அவர்களின் தார்மீகப் பொறுப்பு. அன்புக்குரிய தமிழ் இளைஞர்களே! நீங்கள் நினைத்தால், ஒரு இரவுப் பொழு தோடு போதைப் பொருளை எங்கள் மண் ணில் இருந்து அடியோடு அழிக்கவும் அதன் விற் பனையாளர்களை சிறைக்குள் முடக்கவும் முடியும். தயாராகுங்கள்.
