வடகொரியாவின் எல்லைப்பகுதியில் அமெரிக்காவின் ஹெலிகாப்டர் ஒன்று திடீரென தரையில் மோதி நொறுங்கியது. அமெரிக்காவின் விமானங்களை தாக்கி அழிப்போம் என்று வடகொரியா அறிவித்திருக்கும் இந்த வேளையில் இந்த விபத்து அமெரிக்காவை அதிர்ச்சிக்குள்ளக்கியுள்ளது.

இது விபத்து என்று அமெரிக்க தரப்பில் கூறப்பட்டாலும் இது வடகொரியா ராணுவத்தின் சதியாக இருக்கலாம் என்ற அச்சம் ஜப்பான், சீனா போன்ற நாடுகளுக்கு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. அமெரிக்கா உண்மையை மறைத்து விபத்து நடந்ததாக நாடகம் ஆடுகிறதா அல்லது உண்மையில் விபத்துதானா என்பதை இன்னும் உறுதி செய்ய இந்த நாடுகளால் முடியவில்லை.

ஹெலிகாப்டர் விழுந்து நொறுங்கிய இடம் வடகொரிய எல்லையின் மிக அருகில்தான். எல்லையருகே வந்த ஹெலிகாப்டரை வடகொரியா ராணுவம் தாக்கியிருக்கலாம் என்றும் அதனால்தான் இந்த பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட்டிருக்கும் என்றும் அஞ்சப்படுகிறது. நல்லவேளையாக இந்த ஹெலிகாப்டரில் பயணம் செய்த 21 அமெரிக்க வீரர்களும் உயிர்தப்பினர். இந்த நிகழ்வால் அமெரிக்கா ராணுவம் எந்த நேரத்திலும் வடகொரியாவை தாக்கக்கூடும் என்றும் அதற்கு பதிலடி கொடுக்க வடகொரியா தயாராக இருக்கிறது என்றும் செய்திகள் கசிந்து வருவதால் பெரும் பதட்டம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது

கொரிய தீபகற்பத்தில் அமெரிக்க உலங்குவானூர்தி விபத்து

கொரிய தீபகற்ப பகுதியில் போர்ப் பதற்றம் நீடித்து வரும் நிலையில் வடகொரியாவின் எல்லை அருகே அமெரிக்க ராணுவ உலங்குவானூர்தி திடீரென விபத்தில் சேதமடைந்துள்ளது.  தென்கொரியா- அமெரிக்காவின் கூட்டுப் படைகள் இன்றும் போர் ஒத்திகையில் ஈடுபட்டு வந்தன. அப்போது அமெரிக்க ராணுவ உலங்குவானூர்தி ஒன்று வடகொரியா எல்லையில் தரையிறங்கும்போது விபத்துக்குள்ளானது. ஊலங்குவானூர்தி சேதமடைந்த போதிலும் அதில் இருந்த 16 பேரும் பாதுகாப்பாக மீடகப்பட்டனர். மூன்று பேர் ராணுவ மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டிருக்கின்றனர். வடகொரியாவின் தாக்குதலால் உலங்குவானூர்தி விபத்துக்குள்ளாகியிருக்குமோ என்ற சந்தேகமும் எழுந்துள்ளது.

US military helicopter crashes near North Korean border

A US military helicopter taking part in a training exercise has crashed near the North Korean border.

The aircraft, identified as a CH-53 US Marine helicopter, was carrying a total of 21 personnel during a joint South Korea-US drill but there are said to be no apparent casualties.

All were taken to hospital but 15 were quickly released. The remaining six are in stable condition.

The "hard landing" happened in Cheolwon county, on the border with North Korea, a US official said.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.

The Korean peninsula is currently in a state of heightened tensions, following the North's underground nuclear test in February and escalating rhetoric.

North Korea has condemned the on-going South Korea-US military exercises, which it sees as an invasion rehearsal.

Cheolwon has been the site of previous border incidents. In 1992, three North Korean soldiers wearing South Korean uniforms were killed and in 1997, five North Korean soldiers crossed the DMZ and fired on South Korean positions.

Meanwhile, after a day of festivities to mark the 101st birthday of late leader Kim Il Sung, North Korea issued an ultimatum demanding an apology from South Korea for “hostile acts” and threatening that unspecified retaliatory actions would happen at any time.

In a statement, the regime said: “If the puppet authorities truly want dialogue and negotiations, they should apologize for all anti-DPRK hostile acts, big and small, and show the compatriots their will to stop all these acts in practice.”

Later, the South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman said the South was closely monitoring North Korea’s moves and was ready for any attack.
