திருக்குறள், பழந்தமிழர்களின் சிறப்புக்குரிய அடையாளம்
 
திருக்குறளுக்கு இதுவரை இருநூற்றுக்கும் அதிகமான உரை நூல்கள் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன. இன்னும் வரும் வருடங்களில் பல உரை நூல்கள் வந்து சேரும். எனது முயற்சி சத்தியமாக உரை நூல் எழுத முற்படுவது அல்ல. இது முழுக்க முழுக்க ஒரு அதிநவீன அறிவியல் கற்பனைக் கதையே.
 
வள்ளுவரை அதீதமாகப் புகழ்வதும் இந்த நூலின் நோக்கம் அல்ல. புகழை விரும்பாதவர் அவர் என்பது 1330 குறளிலும் எங்குமே தனது பெயரை எழுதாத அழகினைக்கொண்டு நமக்கு உணரவைத்துள்ளார். 
 
மாணவர்களுக்கு அறிவியல் செய்திகளை இயம்புவது மட்டுமே எனது குறிக்கோள். அறிவியல் செய்திகளை மாணவர்களுக்கு இயம்ப ஒரு துணைவனாக, கருவியாக, ஆயுதமாக திருக்குறளைப் பயன்படுத்தும் முயற்சி இது. 
 
வள்ளுவர் எந்தச் சிந்தனை நிலையில் தனது நூலை எழுதினார் என்று அவரது காலத்துக்கு 2000 வருடங்கள் கழித்து ஆராய்வது சரியாக அமையுமா என்பது ஒரு கேள்வி. இது ஒரு தனி நூல் அல்ல , ஒரு நூல் வரிசை,எனது அடிப்படை திட்டப்படி இந்த நூல் வரிசை அடுத்த இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு தொடரும்.  இணையத்தின் மூலமாக எழுதப்படும் நூல் இது.வேற்றுக்கிரகவாசிகள்  பூமிக்கு வந்து திருக்குறளை ஆராய்வது போல இந்த நூலின் மையம் அமைந்திருக்கும். இந்த நூல் வரிசைக்குத் தேவையான உசாத்துணை அதிநவீன அறிவியல் கட்டுரைகளை (மூன்று வருடங்களில் 1,45,368 கட்டுரைகளை, இன்னும் தேடுதல் தொடர்கிறது) சேகரித்த பின்னர்தான் இந்த நூல் வரிசை எழுதப்படுகிறது.எழுதப்படும் நிலையினில் நூலின் பகுதிகளான அத்தியாயங்கள் அனைவரிடமும் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளப்படும். நூல் நிறைவடையும் நிலையில் தெரிவு செய்யப்படும் கல்வி நிறுவனத்தின் மாணவர்களிடம் அனைத்து பகுதிகளும் நூலாக அச்சிட்டுக் கொடுக்கப்படும், மாணவர்கள் நூலின் பகுதிகளை விழியங்களாக உருவாக்குவர். அவை இணையத்தில் இருத்தப்படும், அதன் பின்னர் இணையத்தில் உள்ள நூலின் பகுதிகள் அகற்றப்படும்.  
 
ஒரே சமயத்தில் இந்த நூல் இரண்டு மொழிகளில் இயற்றப்படும்.  ஆங்கிலத்தில் இந்தியாவில் இருந்து நானும் , இதன் மொழிபெயர்ப்பை அமெரிக்காவில் இருந்து முனைவர் தேமொழி அவர்களும் எழுதுகிறோம். எனக்கு தமிழ் எழுதுவதில் நிறைய சிரமங்கள் இருப்பதால், நான் எழுப்பிய உதவி கோருதலை ஏற்று எவ்வித எதிர்பார்ப்பும்  இல்லாமல் ஆங்கிலத்தில் நான் இயற்றும் நூலினை கூகுள் ஆவணங்கள் (Google Docs- Sharing) தொழில் நுட்பம் மூலமாக தமிழில் மொழிபெயர்க்க இசைந்துள்ள அவர்களுக்கு இந்தத் தருணத்தில் எனது மனமார்ந்த நன்றியை பதிவு செய்வது எனது கடமையாகும். 
       
சென்ற வருடம் நான் எழுத துவங்கிய "முதற்றே உலகு" இரண்டாம் தொகுதியின் எழுத்துப்பணியில் அமெரிக்காவில் வாழும் திரு.கோவை செல்வன் எனக்கு உதவியதை இங்கு நினைவு கூர்வது எனது கடமையாகும். என்னைப்போல தமிழில் எழுத சிரமப்படும் வளரும் எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கு இவர்களைப்போல நிறைய பெரியவர்கள் வரும் காலங்களில் உதவ முன்வர வேண்டும் என்பது எனது தாழ்மையான வேண்டுகோள்.
