Gouzia Sivarajah

My name is Gouzia Sivarajah and I am an aspiring Trauma Surgeon. It is my goal to be accepted into an accelerated medical program. I am also the Founder and CEO of SIINNO Technology LLC, and the president of TYPDA (a non-profit organization).

SIINNO Technology LLC is a company that creates devices that help people live safer lives. Our first product is a wearable device called the Movement Aid for the Visually Impaired (MAVI). The MAVI helps blind and visually impaired individuals travel safely independent from the cane.

TYPDA is a Nonprofit Organization that is run by teens and kids in an effort to raise money to donate to other children who are unprivileged or impoverished. Our motto is kids helping kids and we have impacted several lives already.

Sumathi @ Thamizhachi Thangapandian hails from Virudhunagar District. She did her schooling in Virudhunagar and collegiate education from Madurai and worked as a English lecturer at Queen Mary's College, Chennai. She completed her PhD from Madras University for her research on the life of Srilankan Tamils who've settled in Australia. She is also an active participant in governmental activities an also a translator.

She is a highly accalimed poet with a great command over her language.Her style of traditional yet trendy writing has brought out the life of the underprivileged, the plight of Tamils and the changing identities of Tamil in the fast paced era of globalization into stanzas of meaning and power. Her literary genius has been exhibited in her various published poems, commentries, and essays in Tamil. She has also authored a book in English titled "Island to Island".

Practicing Lawyer Madras High Court in the field of Constitutional Law, Civil cases and Matrimonial Cases.Awarded Pavendar Bharadisan State Award by Government of Tamil Nadu in the year 1990.Special Invitee of Pavendar Bharadisan Centenary Celebrations held in Malaysia and Singapore in the year 1991, and for other literary Meetings in 2003 and 2008. Special invitee of North American Tamil Sangams, Annual celebrations at Chicago in the year 2002 Social activist. Columnist and opinion maker on social issues. Taking part in Television discussions and in press touching issues of social importance.Resource person for feminist workshops.
