Sri Lanka attacks Hospital yet again

Dear Policy Maker,

Sri Lanka has attacked Mullivaikkal make shift hospital, inside the "safe zone" on April 29th massacring the patients. This is not the first time that Sri Lanka has attacked Hospitals. PTK Hospital, Ponnambalam Hospital, Udaiyarkaadu Hospital have all been being bombed in the course of last 3 months.

Sri Lankan Government must be the only Government to have got away with directly attacking hospitals.

Sri Lanka's Defense Secretary and WAR CRIMINAL, Gotabhaya Rajapakse, in an interview to BBC in March 2009 states "anything outside the safe zone is a legitimate target" when asked about the PTK hospital attack. Since making that statement, Sri Lanka has carried out further wanton attacks on the "safe zone" using heavy weapons, cluster bombs and white phosphorous and other banned weapons. Mullivaikkal makeshift hospital is inside the "safe zone".

ATTACKING HOSPITAL IS A WAR CRIME.

Attacking Hospitals after starving and denying medicine to a population and then killing the wounded is beyond just "Criminal". Forced starvation, denying medicine, massacring civilians and calculatedly bringing unimaginable conditions of life on a group of people are acts of GENOCIDE.

What is going to be your response?

Yours truly,
