Shan Chandrasekar is the president and CEO of ATN - Asian Television Network International Ltd, a well-established television broadcast company serving multicultural communities across Canada.

Mr. Chandrasekar started his broadcast career in Canada after graduating from McGill University with a Master's degree. In 1975 he became the first to launch South Asian programming on Citytv, and in 1979, he launched the first South Asian programming on CFMT-TV Channel 47. His company, ATN, now owns and operates six digital specialty tv channels across Canada and has strategic alliances with leading international broadcasters including Zee TV, B4U, SET, Alpha Punjabi, JAYA TV and ARY Digital.

Mr. Chandrasekar is vice-chairman of the Specialty and Pay Television Section of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, and serves on the board of the Royal Conservatory of Music and the campaign cabinet of the board of directors of the Scarborough Hospital Foundation. His previous board service includes the Hummingbird Centre, Canadian Women in Communications and the Canadian Club.

Mr. Chandrasekar was inducted into the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame in 2004.
