இலங்கையின் வடக்கையும் கிழக்கையும் இணைக்கும் சிறிய நிலப்பரப்பான, கொக்கிளாயில் 240 சிங்களக் குடும்பங்கள் கடந்த சில வாரங்களில் குடியேற்றப்பட்டுள்ளதாக செய்தி வெளியாகியுள்ளது.

அது மீள்குடியேற்ற நடவடிக்கை என இலங்கை அரசு கூறினாலும், ஒன்று அல்லது இரண்டு குடும்பங்களைத் தவிர, ஏனைய அனைத்துச் சிங்களக் குடும்பங்களும், குடியேறிகள் எனவும், குற்றவியல் பின்புலத்தைக் கொண்டவர்கள் எனவும் தமிழ் நெட் இணையத்தளம் தெரிவிக்கிறது.

அதனால், அங்கு மீளக் குடியேற்றப்பட்டுள்ள 43 தமிழ்க் குடும்பங்கள் அச்சத்துடன் வாழ்வதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.

போரால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட வன்னிப் பகுதி மக்களுக்கென சர்வதேச செஞ்சிலுவைச் சங்கம் வழங்கிய உபகரணங்கள் குடியேற்றப்பட்ட சிங்களவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கென வழங்கப்படும் பணமும், சிங்களவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படுமென அதிகாரி ஒருவர் கருத்து வெளியிட்டார்.

முல்லைத்தீவு, மற்றும் திருகோணமலை மாவட்டங்களின் எல்லையில், முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்டத்தில் கொக்கிளாய் அமைந்துள்ளது.

Hasty Sinhala colonisation wedges north and east at Kokku’laay

Within the last three weeks, 240 Sinhala families were hastily settled at Kokku’laay, a narrow strip of land, which is the only link of contiguity between the northern and eastern flanks of the country of Eezham Tamils in the island. This pivotal conspiracy of Colombo to demographically de-link the contiguity of the two Tamil provinces is being implemented by SL colonial governor in the north, Maj. Gen. Chandrasri and by SL ‘Rehabilitation’ minister Rishard Baddiudeen.

Colombo lies that it is only ‘resettlement’ of Sinhalese, but except one or two families others are outsiders and the 43 original Tamil families resettled among Sinhalese now live in fear. The demographic wedging takes place at a time when New Delhi, advocating ‘home grown’ solution, is allegedly engaged in pressurizing Tamil politicians to commit to the de-link through their own mouth.
