அரசியல் அதிகார பகிர்வுக்கு இணக்கம், போர்க்குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை தமிழர் தரப்பு கைவிட்டால்?

சிங்கள அரசுக்கும் கூட்டமைப்புக்கும் இடையில் பேச்சுவார்த்தைகள் நடப்பதாகவும் இதில் தமிழர் தரப்பு சிங்கள தரப்புக்கு எதிரான போர்க்குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை கைவிட வேண்டும் எனவும் அதற்கு பிரதிஉபகாரமாக தமிழர் தரப்புக்கு ஒரு அரசியல் தீர்வு தரப்படும் எனவும் சொல்லபட்டுள்ளது. இது இந்தியாவின் ஆதரவுடன் முன்னெடுக்கப்படுவதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மகிந்த இராசபக்ச தனது இலண்டனுக்கான தோல்விப்பயணத்திற்கு பின்னரும் இராகுல் காந்தியின் சென்னை பேச்சுக்கு (இலங்கையில் தமிழர் தரப்பின் பிரச்சனை தீர்க்க ஆவன செய்யப்படல் வேண்டும் ) பின்னருமே கூட்டமைப்புடன் பேச இணங்கியுள்ளதாக சொல்லபட்டுள்ளது.

மேலும், அமெரிக்கா யுத்த குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை தீவிரப்படுத்துவதாகவும் அதன் மூலம் அது சீனாவின் பக்கம் கூடுதலாக சாயும் என இந்தியா நம்புவதாகவும் அதை தடுக்க இந்தியா முனைவதாகவும், அதன் பிரதிபலனே இந்த பேச்சுவார்த்தை எனவும் சொல்லபட்டுள்ளது. மேலும், ஐ,நா,வுக்கு முன்னர் அமெரிக்கா தலைமையிலான மேற்குலகம் யுத்த குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை பலமாக முன்வைப்பின், இந்தியா நடுநிலையாக இருக்கும் எனவும் சொல்லபட்டுள்ளது.

Power devolution in lieu of war crime charges?

It is reported that at the discussions which are being held between the Sri Lanka (SL) Govt. and the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) party with a view to formulating a political solution for the ethnic issue, the SL Govt. made a request to nullify the war crime charges which are being levelled against it. It is learnt that the TNA has agreed to this nullification of the war crime charges if a political solution is arrived at. Some say this is in keeping with India’s line. They also add that the political solution sought alongside the nullification of the war crime charges is a deal orchestrated by India. It is clear that America too has consented to this when analyzing the views expressed by America’s ‘think tank’. When SL President Mahinda Rajapaksa was in Texas, America, the US Assist. Secretary Robert Blake when delivering a lecture at the Rice University said, the reconciliation process in SL is not being duly conducted. Teresita Schaffer, a former American Envoy to SL also spoke in the same vein at a Forum in Chennai, India, ‘ I do not have any clear sense on how one can persuade the SL Leader on reconciliation’, she pinpointed. A former Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia at a seminar in the US declared that the President Rajapaksa must be prodded and persuaded to grant decentralization of power rather than make him bow to the pressures of war crime charges , ‘ while everyone was appalled at the events during the final stages of war , focusing entirely on accountability and prosecution will not be pragmatic, as the Rajapaksa’s Govt. will not allow any investigations to take place’, he remarked. He further added, Rajapaksa shall be helped to reduce the security presence in Jaffna and decentralize power .

It is therefore evident from this that America’s new strategy is to achieve a political solution via the Rajapaksa Govt. by wielding the war crime charges as a weapon. It is deducible that this is the line of India because the Rajapaksa Govt. is having discussions with the TNA following the pressures brought to bear on it by India. Previously, India on many occasions compelled Mahinda Rajapaksa to hold talks with the TNA with a view to arriving at a political solution , but Mahinda’s Govt. did not take any measures in that direction. Mahinda Rajapaksa commenced talks with the TNA only after his unsuccessful London tour. One of the reasons which prompted him to initiate discussions was the announcement made by Rahul Gandhi during his tour of Tamil Nadu that the SL Govt. is not doing enough to resolve the Tamils’ ethnic issue. The setting of a deadline by the panel appointed by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon for the submission of the report on the war crime charges against SL was another reason which conduced to the discussions with the TNA.

While the Western countries led by America are resorting to hard power, India on the other hand is relying on soft power pertaining to SL on the war crimes. India is well aware that when the Western countries led by America intensify their pressure on the war crime charges against SL, the latter would necessarily lean towards China for support. India would certainly be antagonistic and averse to this move. At the same time , if war crime charges are mounted against SL before the United Nations (UN) , India will be obliged to take a stand .Under those circumstances , India will not like to side with the Western countries led by America and push SL towards currying favor with China. Neither is India going to take the side of SL and offend America and the western countries.

It may be India’s perception that the best way out of this delicate situation is for it to mediate between SL and the Western countries including America which are levelling war crime charges against SL. India may be entertaining the view that a political solution can be secured via the Rajapaksa Govt. by getting the war crime charges withdrawn against the latter. In the event a political solution is achieved, that will constitute a great advantage to the Indian Congress Govt. In view of the fact that the Tamil Nadu State election is around the corner the crucial question is whether this formula so scrupulously devised by India will indeed work. Right now, none can say for sure except hazard a guess.

கூட்டணி, இந்திய அதிகாரத்தின் 'ஏவல் பேய்' என்பதை தேசத்துரோகி 'சங்கரி' யை உள்வாங்கிக் கொண்டதன் மூலம் முத்திரை குத்தி இருக்கின்றது. நிட்சயமாக மக்கள் விரும்ப்பாத, வெறுக்கின்ற ஒருவனை உள்வாங்கத் துணிந்த இந்தக் கூட்டணி மக்களுக்காக எப்போதும் செயற்படப்போவதில்லை!

நாம் சிங்களவனிம் இருந்து பெற்ற தோல்வி மறக்க, மன்னிக்க முடிந்தாலும் இந்தியத்தியத்திடம் இருந்து பெற்ற தோல்வி, உலகத்தமிழினத்தால் எந்த ஜென்மத்திலும் மறக்கப்பட முடியாதது. எமது விருப்பம் நடக்காது போனாலும் எம் எதிரி விரும்பாதது நடப்பதும் எம் காயத்திற்கு சிறிதளவாவது நிவாரணியாகும்!

இப்போ இருக்கும் தமிழ் தேசிய கூட்டமைப்பு பழைய இத்துபோன கட்சிகளின் தத்துவம் தான். ஒரு சில கட்சிகளை தவிர. அதை விட காட்டி கொடுத்து பிழைப்பு நடாத்திய ஆனந்த சங்கரி, புளட என எல்லா ஊத்தை கூட்டங்களும் உள்வாங்கபட்டுள்ளது.

உண்மையாக தேசியத்திற்கு விசுவாசமானவர்கள் துரத்தப்பட்டதால் தேசிய கூட்டமைப்பின் மேல் நம்பிக்கை இல்லை.
