சிறிலங்கா அதிபர் மகிந்தராஜபக்சவுக்கு புற்றுநோய்..! ஆபத்தான கட்டத்தை தாண்டினார்.. உண்மையா? வதந்தியா? அமெரிக்காவில் சிகிச்சை நடப்பதாக சிறிலங்கா கார்டியன் இணைய ஊடகம் தகவல்.

சிறிலங்கா அதிபர் மகிந்த ராஜபக்சவுக்கு புற்றுநோய் தாக்கியிருப்பதாகவும் அதற்கு சிகிச்சை பெறவே அவர் அமெரிக்கா சென்றுள்ளதாகவும் சிறிலங்கா கார்டியன் ஊடகம் தகவல் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. சிறிலங்கா அதிபர் மகிந்த ராஜபக்ச கடந்த வாரம் திடீரென அமெரிக்கா சென்றிருந்தார். அவரது பயணத்துக்கான காரணம் தெரிவிக்கப்படவில்லை.

இந்தநிலையில் புற்றுநோய்க்கு சிகிச்சை பெறவே அவர் அமெரிக்கா சென்றதாகத் தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. ஹொஸ்டனில் தனது சகோதரர் டட்லி ராஜபக்சவின் வீட்டில் இருந்தே மகிந்த ராஜபக்ச சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகிறார்.

உயிருக்கு ஆபத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் நோய் அவரைத் தாக்கியிருப்பதாகவும், அதற்கான சிகிச்சைகளை அவர் ஹொஸ்டனில் எடுத்துக் கொள்வதாகவும் தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. எம்டி அன்டர்சன் புற்றுநோய் நிலையத்திலேயே அவர் மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை பெறுவதாக லண்டனில் இருந்து கிடைக்கும் தகவல் ஒன்று தெரிவிக்கிறது.

இது டெக்சாஸ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்துடன் இணைந்த நிறுவனமாகும். தற்போது அவர் ஆபத்தான நிலையை தாண்டி விட்டதாகவும் அடுத்த மாதம் 4ம் திகதி கொழும்பில் நடைபெறும் சிறிலங்காவின் சுதந்திர நாள் நிகழ்வுகளில் அவர் பங்கேற்பார் என்றும் தகவல்கள் தெரிவிப்பதாகவும் அந்த ஊடகம் மேலும் தகவல் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

Rajapakase under treatment: Suffering from cancer?

(January 24, Colombo, Sri lanak Guardian) Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapakse is on a private visit to the United States, and is reported to be staying with his brother Dudley Rajapakse in Houston. The Government, in typical fashion is silent over the reason for this very sudden and personal visit. However, the Colombo based media and a source in Houston have reported that he is suffering from a life threatening illness and one source says that he took treatment from a hospital in Houston.

According to the Sri Lankan media source based in London it was reported that that he took treatment from the MD Anderson Cancer Centre ( More Information) which is a partner institute of the University of Texas.

Reports of serious illness would explain why President Rajapakse took the risk of visiting the United States when there is every possibility that he could be charged with war crimes.

Apparently he is now out of danger and will be here in Colombo to attend the Independence Day ceremony.

Meanwhile the Tamil Against Genocide (TAG ) is filing a civil action on behalf of three plaintiffs in the Southern District Court of Texas charging the President Mahinda Rajapakse as liable under the doctrine of command responsibility for,

• the Trincomalee killing of 5 students (all nearly 20 years old awaiting University admissions),

• extrajudicial killing of 17 ACF workers, and

• the massacre of 40,000 Tamils in Vanni in 2009, and asking monetary damages for the plaintiffs,

the only possible redress available in a civil action.

This legal action will continue even if Mr Rajapakse finds a quick exit from the U.S

பொதுவாக புற்றுநோய் என்றால், அமெரிக்கவால் கூட "சுகம் வரும் ஆனால் ஆள் தப்பாது" என்பது பொருந்தும்.

இந்தச் செய்திக்கும் யாழில் பொங்கல் பானைக்குள் இவரோட தலைப்பாகை விழுந்ததுக்கும் எந்தவித தொடர்பில்லாவிட்டாலும், அமெரிக்காவில் தான் வந்த அலுவல் முடிஞ்சு சிரிலங்கா திரும்பு மட்டும் கைது செய்யப்படாமலிருக்க ஓர் அனுதாப நாடகமாக இருக்கலாமோ?
