யாழ் பல்கலை மாணவர்கள், விரிவுரையாளர்களுக்கு உயிர் அச்சுறுத்தல்

யாழ் பல்கலையின் மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் விரிவுரையாளர்கள் சிலருக்கு உயிரச்சுறுத்தல் விடுத்து துண்டுபிரசுரங்கள் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இன்று (15-12-2011) காலை யாழ் பல்கலைக்கழக வளாகத்தினுள் பல இடங்களில் இவ்வாறான துண்டுப்பிரசுரங்கள் ஒட்டப்பட்டிருந்ததுடன், அங்காங்கே வீசப்பட்டும் காணப்பட்டதாக மாணவர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.

மாணவர்களின் பெயர்கள், அவர்களின் சொந்த இடங்களான மாவட்டங்கள் குறிப்பிட்டு இதில் எச்சரிக்கை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதுடன், சில விரிவுரையாளர்களின் பெயர்களும் உள்ளடக்கப்பட்டு அவர்களுக்கும் அச்சுறுத்தல் விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தமிழ் மக்கள் சமாதானத்தை அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதாகத் தெரிவிக்கும் இந்தத் துண்டுப் பிரசுரம், அதனைக் குழப்ப முனையும் மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் விரிவுரையாளர்கள் தண்டிக்கப்படுவர்கள் என்றும் கூறுகின்றது.

இதற்கு முன்னரும் இவ்வாறான எச்சரிக்கைத் துண்டுப் பிரசுரங்கள் ஒட்டப்பட்டிருந்ததை மாணவர்கள் நினைவூட்டும் அதேவேளை, இம்முறை வவுனியா வளாக மாணவர்கள் சிலரின் பெயரும் இதில் உள்ளடக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவித்தனர்.

பல்கலைக்கழகத்தினுள் இருந்து தகவல் வழங்கும் புல்லுருவிகள் மூலம் தகவல்களை பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும் படைப்புலனாய்வாளர்கள், மாணவர் சக்தியை நேருக்குநேர் எதிர்கொள்ள முடியாது இவ்வாறு அச்சுறுத்தி பணிய வைக்க முனைவதாக தெரிவித்துள்ள சிரேஸ்ட விரிவுரையாளர் ஒருவர், இவ்வாறான அச்சுறுத்தல் பிரசுரங்கள் மூலம் மாணவர்களின் ஒற்றுமை மற்றும் மனோ வலிமையை சிதைத்து, தமது அசர பயங்கiவாதத்தை நிலைக்கச் செய்ய அரசு எடுக்கும் முயற்சிகள் இவை என மேலும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

அண்மைய நாட்களாக பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்களுக்கு எதிராக சிறீலங்காப் படையினர் மற்றும் புலனாய்வாளர்களின் நடவடிக்கைகள் அதிகரித்துக் காணப்படுவதுடன், அவர்களுக்கு தொடர்ந்தும் உயிரச்சுறுத்தல் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர் ஒன்றியத் தலைவர் மீதான கொலைவெறித் தாக்குதல், மற்றும் சித்த மருத்துவபீட மாணவனின் கடத்தல் என்பனவற்றுக்கு எதிராக மாணவர் காட்டிய எதிர்புகளும், மாவீரர் எழுச்சி வாரத்தை ஒட்டிய நிகழ்வுகளாலும் சீற்றமடைந்திருந்த படையினரும், புலனாய்வாளர்களும் இவ்வாறு நடந்து கொள்வார்கள் என தாம் முன்னரே எதிர்பார்த்த ஒன்று என மாணவர்கள் தெரிவிதனர்.

வன்முறையற்ற ரீதியில் தமது உரிமைக்காக குரல் கொடுக்கும் அனைவரும் சிறீலங்கா அரச பயங்கரவாதத்தால் இவ்வாறு அச்சுறுத்தப்பட்டும், கொன்றொழிக்கப்பட்டும் மொனிக்க வைக்கப்படுகின்றார்கள் என்பதற்கு மீண்டும் ஒரு புலப்படு ஆதாரமாக இவ் உயிர் அச்சுறுத்தல் பிரசுரங்கள் இருப்பதை அவர்கள் சுட்டிக்காட்டினர்.

கடந்த காலங்களில் தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்போர் உக்கிரமாக நடந்துகொண்டிருந்த காலங்களிலும் சிறிலங்கா படைப்புலனாய்வாளர்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களுடன் இணைந்தியங்கிகள் மாணவர்களை எச்சரித்து ‘நாட்டைக்காக்கும் தமிழர் கூட்டமைப்பு’ மற்றும் ‘நாம் தமிழர்’ என்னும் பேரில் துண்டுப்பிரசுரங்களை வெளியிட்டதும், கடந்த வருடம் யாழ்ப்பாணத்தில் நடைபெற இருந்த ‘ஜேர்மனிய வாரம்’ என்னும் தொனிப்பொருளிலான ஒரு கலாசாரப்பகிரல் நிகழ்வை குழப்ப ‘நாம் தமிழர்’ என்னும் பேரில் தொலைபேசி மற்றும் மின்னஞ்சல் மிரட்டல்கள் விடுக்கப்பட்டதும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

தமிழ் மக்களின் குரல்கொடுக்கும் சக்தியாக இளைய தலைமுறை உருவாவதை தடுக்கும் நோக்குடன், தாயக மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் கல்வியாளர்கள் மீது மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் இவ்வ்வாறான நடவடிக்கைகள் உடனடியாகத் தடுத்து நிறுத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.

இதற்கென அனைத்துலகும் வியாபித்து பலமடைந்துள்ள புலம்பெயர் உறவுகள் ஒருமித்துக்குரல் கொடுக்க முன்வரவேண்டும் என்றும், சாத்வீக ரீதியான தாயக மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் கல்வியாளர்களின் உரிமைக்கான குரலைப் பலப்படுத்தி, அவர்கள் எதிர்நோக்கும் சிறீலங்கா அரச பயங்கரவாத இன்னல்களை அகற்ற பன்னாட்டு விழிப்புணவர்வை ஏற்படுத்த முன்வரவேண்டும் என்று தாம் வேண்டி நிற்பதாக மாணவர்கள் கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளனர்.

Dear Madam,

“There will be ‘maximum punishment’ [assassination] for those who disturb the ‘freedom’ that we gave to Tamil people by shedding our blood,” say posters and notices distributed by helmet-wearing unknown operatives who entered the premises of the University of Jaffna Thursday. The poster, titled “last warning” and issued in the name of “Naam Ilangkaiyar Security Force” (We Sri Lankans Security Force), names 8 students from 4 districts and 3 lectures of the University of Jaffna. The elected leadership of the student union this year and the newly elected leaders for the coming year are named in the list. One of the students is Mr. S.Thavapalasingham who was recently attacked by a group of men believed to be SL military intelligence operatives and one of the lecturers is Mr. S. Raveendran, who was abducted in Colombo in March 2009 and released after two weeks.

Referring two specific killings that took place within the premises of the University of Jaffna before 2009, the slaying of Kuna (Panchadcharam Kunenthiran) who was the former president of Jaffna District Students' Union and the slaying of Purusoththaman who was a student of Jaffna University, the poster warns the students of the same fate. There have been no investigations on the killings of Kuan and Purusoththaman. The dead bodies were taken over by the SL police without allowing the families or relatives to conduct funeral at that time.

This comes in amidst escalation of kidnapping where just last week two activists have gone missing. Lalith and Kugan came to Jaffna to support a protest along with families whose loved ones have missing over the years on International Human Rights Day. There whereabouts remain unknown.

The International Community must intervene in safeguarding basic rights for students and others in Sri Lanka.
