நாட்டின் தற்போதைய அரசியல் நிலைமை உட்பட பல்வேறு பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து கொழும்பிலுள்ள இராஜாங்க சமுதாயத்துக்கு இலங்கை அரசாங்கம் இன்று விளக்கமளித்துள்ளது என்று வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சு கூறியுள்ளது. 

அரசியல் மற்றும் பொருளாதாரம் தொடர்பில் தற்போது நிலவும் பரந்துபட்ட பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து கொழும்பிலுள்ள இராஜதந்திரிகளுக்கு வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சர் ஜீ.எல்.பீரிஸ் விளக்கமளித்தார் என அமைச்சு வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

இதன்போது, பிரதி வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சர் நியோமல் பெரேராவும் அமைச்சின் செயலாளர் திலக் அமுனுகமவும் கலந்துகொண்டிருந்ததாக அவ்வறிக்கையில் மேலும் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஆனால் சர்வதேச பார்வை சிங்களம் மீது தவறாக இருக்கக்கூடாது என்பதில் சிங்களம் கவனமாக உள்ளது. எனவே தமிழர்களும் உண்மை நிலைமைகளை எடுத்து சொல்லவேண்டிய தேவை உள்ளது.

நாங்கள் புலம்பெயர் தேசங்களில் குளிரிலும் பனியிலும் எவ்வளவுதான் கோசங்கள் போட்டாலும் கத்தி குழறினாலும் சிங்களவன் மேற்கு நாட்டு இராஜதந்திரிகளை சிறிலங்காவிற்கு அழைத்து மது மாது போன்றவற்றை கொடுத்து நன்கு கவனித்தது இவர்களிற்கு எல்லாம் மறந்து போகிறார்கள் என்ன செய்வது ?

ஆர்ரார் கூட்டத்தில் இருந்தவர்கள் என்பது முக்கியம்.  இதை அரசு புலம் பெயர் சமூகத்தை மிரட்ட பாவிக்கும் ஆயுதமாக விட்டுவிடக் கூடாது.

Taxation without Representation. That was the foundation for American freedom. Even, Gandhi started with Salt and don't pay tax. Government can run only with tax income. When there is no tax income, government will collapse. That is the way, people fought for freedom.

 

You have a very valid reason. In Sri Lanka, all people pay equal tax. There is no concession. But all people do not have equal rights. Taxation without equal rights. That is a very valid issue. People all over the world can easily understand this. So ask for equal rights. If they cannot give you equal rights, then ask for tax concession. Equal rights for all in Sri Lanka - that should be your primary concern.
