பறை என்ற தமிழர் பாரம்பரிய வாத்திய கருவி பற்றிய முழு விளக்கம் .

தோழர். தினேஷ் சக்ரவர்த்தி இளவயது முதலே பறையிசைப்பதிலும் பறையின் வரலாற்றின் மீதும் நாட்டம் கொண்டிருந்தவர். 2014 ல் முறையாக பறையை கற்று, போராட்ட நிகழ்வுகளில் மட்டும் பறை இசைப்பதற்கென்றேயான ஐந்திணைக் கலையகம் எனும் குழு ஒன்றையும் ஏற்படுத்தி நடத்தியும் வருகின்றார். பறையிசை குறித்த தேடலுக்காக தமிழகத்தின் திருச்சி, கோவை, குமரி முதலிய பல்வேறு இடங்களில் உள்ள பல்வேறு பறையிசைக்கலைஞர்களை சந்தித்தும் அனுபவங்களை பதிவும் செய்து வருகிறார். பெரியார்,அம்பேத்கர் போன்றோரின் பெண் விடுதலைக் கருத்துக்களை உள் வாங்கியவரான தினேஷ் மனிதி, அரக்கி முதலிய குழுக்களில் இயங்கும் பெண்களுக்கு பறையிசையை கற்பித்தும் வருகிறார்.

Today “Parai” appears to be played mostly in death mourning events but once it was a part of Everyday Life with no boundaries. People were communalized by their profession and the instrument “Parai” was forced upon them. Not only the instrument but the people who played Parai were also marginalized. Parai cannot be bounded within caste, region, religion or for any particular reason. In this Artist Talk session, Mr. Dinesh Chakravarthy would be presenting his thoughts on the Parai instrument and its importance in today’s social age. His love for the Instrument Parai started during his young days. Mr.Dinesh Chakravarthy did not stop with just learning the technique but also started discovering how the instrument traveled along the ages. He reached out many parts of Tamilnadu like Trichy, Kanniyakumari, Coimbatore, etc, to discover various notations of Parai art form pioneer Parai artists and documented it. And Dinesh especially shares his knowledge along with the organizations called Manidhi and Arakki. He founded “Aiyndhinai Kalayagam” to share his knowledge on Parai and it’s history.
