31 வயதாகும் சசிதமலர் ரவி , இலங்கையைச் சேர்ந்த தமிழ்ப் பெண். பிரித்தானியாவின் லிவேர்பூளில் வசித்து வருகிறார், எம்.1 வாகன நெடுஞ்சாலையில் சிகப்பு நிற Vauxhall Vectra காரின் பின்புறத்தில் அமர்ந்து பயணித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

கார் வாட்போர்ட் அருகே வந்த போது சில்வர் நிற பி,எம்.டபிள்யூ காரின் மீது மோதியதால் விபத்து நேரிட்டது. தெற்கு நோக்கி சென்று கொண்டிருந்த Vauxhall கார் கட்டுப்பாட்டை இழந்ததாலேயே இந்த விபத்து நேரிட்டது என ஹீர்த்போர்ட்ஷிர் போலீசார் தெரிவித்தனர்.

இந்த காரில் பயணித்த மற்ற மூன்று பேரும் லிவெர்பூல் பகுதியில் வசித்தவர்களே. இந்த காரின் ஓட்டுனரான 39 வயது ஆண் சிறிய காயங்களுடன் வாட்போர்ட் பொது மருத்துவமனைக்கு சிகிச்சைக்காக எடுத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டுள்ளார். பின் பகுதியில் அமர்ந்திருந்த 21 வயதுள்ள மற்றொரு பெண்ணுக்கும் சிறிய காயங்கள் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

காரின் முன்புறத்தில் அமர்ந்திருந்த 34 வயதாகும் ஆணுக்கு எந்த காயமும் ஏற்படவில்லை. இந்த காரில் பயணம் செய்தவர்கள் சிறிலங்காவை பூர்வீகமாகக் கொண்ட ரவி என்பவற்றின் குடும்பம் எனத் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. தற்போது இவர்கள் டோச்டேத் பகுதியில் உள்ள நோர்தும்பெர்லாந்து தெருவில் வாடகை குடியிருப்பு ஒன்றில் வசித்து வருகின்றனர்.

இந்தக் குடும்பம் மிகவும் அமைதியான நல்ல குடும்பம். யாருடனும் வம்புக்கு போகாதவர்கள். அதிகாலையில் வீட்டை விட்டு கிளம்பும் இவர்கள் பின்னிரவிலேயே தினமும் வீட்டிற்கு வருவது வழக்கம். அந்த வீட்டில் இருக்கும் இளம்பெண் நல்ல குணம் கொண்டவர் என அண்டை வீட்டார் தெரிவித்தனர்.

Woman dies in barrier crash on M1 in Hertfordshire

A 31-year-old woman has died after the car she was travelling in hit the central reservation of the M1 in Hertfordshire.

Police said a Vauxhall Vectra had been heading south on Tuesday night when it seemed to lose control and hit the barrier at junction five, near Watford.

It rebounded into the carriageway and collided with a silver BMW.

All four people in the red Vectra were from Liverpool. The driver, a 39-year old-man, sustained minor injuries.

A 21-year-old woman who was in the back seat also suffered minor injuries and a 34-year-old man in the front seat was uninjured.

Three men from London were travelling in the BMW. The driver was treated for minor injuries.

Appeal to driver

A red Toyota Celica lost control during the incident and it is unclear whether it was in collision with the Vectra, police said.

The Celica crossed the carriageway to the nearside and went up the embankment. The driver has not yet been traced.

Pc Ian Breacher said: "This was a serious collision in appalling weather conditions, in which one lady tragically lost her life.

"We are appealing to anyone who was travelling on the motorway at about 2100 BST and who may have witnessed the collisions to get in touch.

"We are also appealing for the driver of the Toyota Celica to make contact with the police."

The motorway was closed for several hours.
