To this question there are two answers: the power output of the GravityLight in Watts, and the Lumens/Watt of the LED.

The power output is (with a 12.5kg load) H: 0.1W, M: 0.075W and L: 0.05W.

The lumens/watt of the LED is in the region of 100 l/w. So on High you will have about 15 lumens output, Med about 10 lumens, and Low about 5 lumens.

The advantage of an LED light source over a kerosene lamp is that nearly all this light output can be directed at a task or onto a surface.

This idea of ‘useful light’ requires a more appropriate unit of measure than ‘Lumens’ (total light output). Lux is the unit for light falling on a surface (lumens/square meter).

As a rule of thumb, the numbers for lumens/watt given above can be used for the GravityLight Lux output: variable between 5 and 15 Lux.

As a comparison, a basic kerosene lamp is quoted as providing between 1 and 6 Lux.

The power & duration can be adjusted by the users on this first version of GravityLight via a power dial on the front.

இங்கு நீங்கள் கற்றுக்கொண்ட சமன்பாடுகளை உடைத்தெறியவில்லை led எனப்படும் light-emitting-diode lamp தமிழில் ஒளிகாலும் இருவாயி மின் விளக்கு செய்யும் விளையாட்டு மற்றபடி அந்த அந்த சமன்பாடுகளில் எவ்விதமாற்றமும்மில்லை இந்த பல்ப்பை (புவியீர்ப்பு விசையிலிருந்து மின்சாரம்) முதலே கண்டுபிடிச்சாருந்தால் ஊரிலை எத்தினை சனம்  பங்கர் பூச்சி,பூரான்,விசபாம்புகளிடம் கடி வேண்டாமல் தப்பியிருக்கும் .

பத்து வருடத்திற்கு முதலே (2002) தோட்டத்தில் வைக்கும் சூரிய சக்தி விளக்குகளை பாவித்திருக்கிறோம். பகலில் வெயிலில் வைத்துவிட்டு இரவில் வீட்டுக்குள் கொண்டு வந்து வைத்து விடுவோம். ஒரு அறைக்கு 2 விளக்குகள் வைத்தல் போதுமானது. இரவு விளக்குப் ( Night Lamp ) போல் முழு இரவும் நின்று எரியும்.

 

விளக்கு 5 டொலரில் இருந்து இருக்கிறது. 

பற்றரி ஒரு வருடத்திற்குமேல் பாவிக்கும். ஒரு பற்றரி $5 மட்டில் கிடைக்கும்.

 

ஒரு விளக்கிற்கு வருடத்திற்கு 10 டொலர் செலவு. ஆனால் இரவு முழுக்க வெளிச்சம் தரும். 3 LED  இருப்பதால் கூடுதல் வெளிச்சம். அரை மணித்தியாளத்திற்கு ஒருக்கா போய் மூட்டைய மேலே தூக்கி விடுகின்ற வேலையும் இல்லை. 

 

 

 

அதோட இன்னொரு விசயம். இந்த விளக்குகளை அறையில் வைத்தால்  Heavenly ஆகவும் றொம்ப Romantic  ஆகவும் இருக்கும் .
