Corona Virus which started its spread in the city of Wuhan, China has killed more than 3000 people till now. In India, it has affected 30 people among them 3 from Kerala have recovered from the infection.

Since China had its winters during the spread, will India's scorching summers control the spread of the virus outbreak?

There is no confirmed evidence to suggest that warm climates will control the spread of the virus but the researches have their theories that climate also has some influence over the spread.

To study this the researchers have considered the spread of MERS, SARS. SARS, which had its impact in Asia in 2002 has killed 8000 people worldwide and the outbreak was contained in particular regions. MERS which began in 2012 affected Saudi Arabia which has relatively high temperatures.

Paul Hunter, a researcher at the University of East Anglia, UK, says that the virus will not survive in summer. But he also says that the virus may kill itself in warmer conditions and come back again in the winters.

The Centers for Disease Control(CDC) said that they are not sure whether the Virus will decrease the spread when the weather becomes warmer. This is because of the COVID-19 is a different strain of the virus that cause cold and flu directly affecting the respiratory organs.

What do the Indian Scientists say?
Most of the Indian researches say that the Virus cannot withstand India's summer and humidity and it will fade away soon. They say that India is safe because of its weather which will act as a natural defense against the virus. Such was the reason why SARS, MERS and Ebola virus couldn't enter India. They say that the geographical spread of the virus is contained in cooler climates.

They also warn us saying that it is too early to say that India's warmer climates can prevent the spread because there are several silent ways the virus could spread from one person to another.

On the contrary, some experts say that India has the highest risk of catching the virus because of its dense population and improper medical facilities.

India which is the second-largest populated country in the world has got 420 people more in each square kilometer when compared to other countries. The second reason being migration, a lot of people have migrated from the villages and towns to metro cities for jobs and better education.

India's improper and overburdened medical facilities, it's poor hygienic habits are also prone to spread the virus quickly.
