கனடாவில் கடந்த மூன்று நாட்களாக நடைபெற்ற நான்கு நாடுகள் பங்குபற்றும் 20 ஓவர்கள் அடங்கிய துடுப்பாட்டப் போட்டியில் சிறிலங்கா அணிக்கு எதிர்ப்புத் தெரிவித்து நேற்று திங்கட்கிழமை மூன்றாவது நாளாகவும் கவனயீர்ப்பு போராட்டம் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

4வது படத்தை பாருங்கள்! எதிர்புறத்தில் போரட்டம் செய்யும் தமிழ் மக்களை நோக்கி

கேலி செய்யும் ஒரு கூட்டம். அதில் ஒருவர் துப்பாக்கி போல கைகளை நீட்டிக் காட்டுகிறார்.

முன் செல்பவர் கூட அப்படித்தான் செய்கின்றார்.அதிகமானோரின் கைகள் அப்படித்தான் செய்கின்றது.ஆனால் இன்னும் யாழ்களத்திலும் சரி நாட்டிலும் சரி சிங்களவனுக்கு வக்காலத்து வாங்கும் கூட்டம் அதிகமாக தான் உள்ளது.சின்ன விடயத்தை கூட பெரிதாக பிரச்சாரம் செய்கின்றார்கள்.சம்பந்தமே இல்லாதவர்களை கூட தமிழர்கள் என்பதங்காக உலகளவில் பிரச்சாரம் செய்கின்றார்கள்.

செருப்பு மாலைகளை விட சிங்கள பயங்கரவாதத்தின் குண்டுத்தாக்குதல்களால் தமிழர் தாயகத்தில் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள சிதைவுகளையும்,

சமீபத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற பெற்றோல் இராசயண குண்டுத்தாக்குதலால் உடல் கருகிப்போன பச்சிளம்பாலகர்களின் புகைப்படங்களையும்

இது போன்ற எதிர்ப்பு நிகழ்வுகளுடன் இணைப்பது சர்வதேச மக்களிடம் சிங்கள பயங்கரவாத அரசின் ஜனநாயக முகமூடியை கிழித்தெறிய உதவும்!!!

அத்தோடு இந்து, கிறித்தவ வணக்கத்தலங்களின் மேல் சிங்களம் நடத்திவரும் கண்மூடித்தனமான தாக்குதல்களும் சர்வதேச அரங்கத்தில்

வெளிச்சம் போட்டு காட்டப்படவேண்டும். சமீபத்தில் ஒரு புத்த பிக்குவே கொழும்பு கிராண்ட்பாஸ் பகுதியில் உள்ள கோவில் கோபுரத்தின் மேல் ஏறி

சிலைகளை உடைத்த சம்பவத்தின் படங்கள் சிங்கள அரசின் பாசிசவாதத்தை சர்வதேச அரங்கில் நிரூபிக்க உதவும்.

இது போன்ற ஆர்ப்பாட்டங்களை ஏற்பாடு செய்பவர்கள் அதற்காக செலவு செய்யும் நேரத்தையும் உழைப்பையும் மதிக்கின்ற அதே சமயத்தில்.

அப்படி கூடுகின்ற கூட்டம் ஆகக்கூடிய பெறுபேறுகளை சாதிக்கும் வண்ணம், சிங்கள பயங்கரவாதத்தின் கோரமுகத்தை தெளிவாக காட்டும்

புகைப்படங்களும் வேறு ஆதாரங்களும் கவனமாக தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டு இது போன்ற போராட்டங்களில் இணைக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.

இல்லையென்றால் ஏதோ கூடினோம் கூக்குரலிட்டோம் என்ற அளவில் தான் பலன் இருக்கும்.

எதிர்காலத்தில் இது போன்ற நிகழ்வுகள் இன்னும் திறனுடன் வடிவமைக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்னும் கோரிக்கையுடன்

கூடிய வாழ்த்துகள் நிகழ்வை ஏற்பாடு செய்த உறவுகளுக்கு உரித்தாகட்டும்!!!

இதனை அவதானித்த காவல்துறையினர் அவர்களில் இருவரை கைது செய்து கொண்டு சென்றனர்.

According to the International Cricket Committee Player Code of Conduct, Sanath Jayasuriya broke:

• Level 1.4 – Using language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or the making of an obscene gesture. This includes swearing and obscene gestures which are not directed at another person such as swearing in frustration at one's own poor play or fortune.

• Level 2.8 -Using language that is obscene, offensive or of a generally insulting nature to another Player, umpire, Referee, Team Official or spectator. (It is acknowledged that there will be verbal exchanges between Players in the course of play. Rather than seeking to eliminate these exchanges entirely, umpires may look to lay charges when this falls below an acceptable standard. In this instance. This is any language or gesture which is directed at another person or persons. In exercising his judgement as to whether the behaviour has fallen below an acceptable standard, the umpire seeking to lay a charge shall be required to take into account the context of the particular situation and whether the words or gesture are likely to: be regarded as obscene; or give offence; or insult another person. This offence is not intended to penalise trivial behaviour. The extent to which such behaviour is likely to give offence shall be taken into account when assessing the seriousne

ss of the breach.

• Level 3.2- Threat of assault on another Player, Team Official or spectator. Self Explanatory

• Level 3.3- Using any language or gesture that offends, insults, humiliates, intimidates, threatens, disparages or vilifies another person on the basis of that person's race, religion, gender, colour, descent or national or ethnic origin. In assessing the seriousness of a breach the degree to which the behaviour was likely to give offence (to the ordinary person) and whether it was directed specifically towards any person or persons shall be taken into account.

• Level 4.3 Any act of violence on the field of play

• Level 4.4 Using any language or gesture that seriously offends, insults, humiliates, … another person on the basis of that person's race……..

Jayasuriya who many young cricketers lookup to as role model set a bad example when he raised his middle finger at the fans who were protesting to bring an end to the bloodshed. By doing this he showed his support for this genocide, and also brought shame to the game of cricket and disappointed many fans. The International Cricket committee should take adequate action against him, and let him know that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated anywhere. My family and I are hurt because his actions are a slap to our faces as well as the innocent Tamil people who fell victim to this genocide. This is not a joke, and it shouldn't be taken as one either. Innocent people are dying from his country, but he doesn't seem to care very much considering the fact that they are from the minority Tamil race.
