அமெரிக்காவின் பதில் துணைச் சட்ட மா அதிபர் இலங்கையை பூர்வீகமாகக் கொண்டவர் எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. அமெரிக்க பதில் துணைச் சட்ட மா அதிபராக மைதிலி ராமன் என்பவர் கடமையாற்றி வருகின்றார்.

உலக வங்கியின் நிதிக் கூட்டுத்தாபனத்தில் பணியாற்றி வரும் ஏ.தர்மரட்னம் என்பவரின் புதல்வியான மைதிலி ராமன் துணைச் சட்ட மா அதிபராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். மைத்லி ராமன், இலங்கை வங்கியின் முன்னாள் பொது முகாமையாளர் சீ.லோகநாதனின் பேத்தி எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.

Mythili Raman was appointed Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division on March 1, 2013.

As head of the Criminal Division, Ms. Raman oversees nearly 600 attorneys who prosecute federal criminal cases across the country and help develop the criminal law. She also works closely with the nation’s 93 United States Attorneys in connection with the investigation and prosecution of criminal matters in their districts. Ms. Raman has been serving in the Criminal Division since August 2008, first as Acting Chief of Staff and, from September 2, 2009 to March 1, 2013, as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Chief of Staff.

Ms. Raman joined the Department of Justice in 1996, as a trial attorney in the Criminal Division’s Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section, where she prosecuted narcotics cases in districts across the country. From 1999 to 2008, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, where she prosecuted and supervised dozens of criminal cases involving violent crime, financial fraud, narcotics, child exploitation and civil rights offenses. In Maryland, she served as Branch Chief of the district’s Greenbelt office and then as the district’s Appellate Chief. For her work in Greenbelt, Ms. Raman received numerous honors and awards, including the Director’s Award for Superior Performance and the Special Award of Honor from the International Narcotic Enforcement Officers' Association. In 2006, on a detail from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Ms. Raman served as Senior Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General, advising the Deputy Attorney General on a variety of criminal law matters and managing the day-to-day work of the President's Identity Theft Task Force.

Ms. Raman began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Francis D. Murnaghan, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She graduated summa cum laude from Yale University in 1991 and with honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 1994.

அமெரிக்காவில் புதிய பதில் உதவி சட்டமாஅதிபராக யாழ்ப்பாணம் வடமராட்சியைச் சேர்ந்த மைதிலி ராமன் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

இவர், உலக வங்கியின் அனைத்துலக நிதிக் கூட்டுத்தாபனத்தில் பணியாற்றிய, ஏ.தர்மரத்தினத்தின் மகளும், இலங்கை வங்கியின் முன்னாள் பொதுமுகாமையாளர் சி.லோகநாதனின் பேர்த்தியுமாவார்.

மைதிலி ராமனின் பெற்றோர் யாழ்ப்பாணம், வடமராட்சியை சேர்ந்தவர்களாவர்.

அமெரிக்க நீதித்துறைத் திணைக்களத்தில் மைதிரி ராமன் குற்றப்பிரிவு பதில் உதவி சட்டமா அதிபராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

இவர் Yale பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பட்டம் பெற்றதுடன், சிகாகோ பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் சட்டத்துறையில் பட்டம்பெற்றவர்.

குற்றவியல் பிரிவின் தலைவராகப் பொறுப்பேற்கும் மைதிலி ராமன், அமெரிக்கா முழுவதிலும் உள்ள சம்ஸ்டி குற்றவியல் வழக்குகளை கையாளும் சுமார் 600 அரச சட்டவாளர்களுக்குத் தலைமை தாங்கவுள்ளதுடன், குற்றவியல் சட்டங்களை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கும் உதவியாக இருப்பார். அத்துடன் அந்தந்த மாவட்டங்களில் குற்றவியல் விவகாரங்களை விசாரணை செய்யும், குற்றவாளிகளை நீதிமன்றத்தில் நிறுத்தும் 93 அமெரிக்க சட்டவாளர்களுடனும் இவர் நெருக்கமாகப் பணியாற்றுவார்.

மைதிலி ராமன் கடந்த 2008ம் ஆண்டு தொடக்கம், குற்றவியல் பிரிவில் பணியாற்றி வருகிறார்.

2009 செப்ரெம்பம் 2ம் நாள் தொடக்கம் இவர், பதில் தலைமை அதிகாரியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட அவர், 2013 மார்ச் 1ம் நாள் முதன்மை பிரதி உதவி சட்டமா அதிபர் மற்றும் பிரதம அதிகாரியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

மைதிலி ராமன் 1996இல் அமெரிக்க நீதித்துறைத் திணைக்களத்தில் இணைந்து, குற்றவியல் பிரிவில், போதைப்பொருள் தடுப்பு வழக்குகளில் முன்னிலையாகி வந்தார்.

1999 தொடக்கம் 2008வரை, மேரிலான்ட் மாவட்டத்தில், சட்டமாஅதிபர் பணியகத்தில், உதவி அமெரிக்க சட்டவாளராக பணியாற்றினார்.

இதன்போது போதைப்பொருள் தடுப்பு, நிதிமுறைகேடு, வன்முறைகள், சிறார் கடத்தல், குடியியல் உரிமை வழக்குகளில்

இவர் பணியாற்றினார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
