Some knew a man called Pirapakaran. They may mourn his death.

I knew a saint by the name of Pirapakaran. He, the greatest of our war heroes, as with all our heroes, does not die. "மாவீரர்கள் காலத்தால் சாவதில்லை. அவர்கள் காலத்தை உருவகிப்பவர்கள்." -தேசியத்தலைவர்

பிறந்தோம் வாழ்ந்தோம் இனப்பெருக்கம் செய்தோம் செத்தோம் என்று ஒழிந்தது போக பிரபாகரன் ஒரு சாதாரன மானிடர் அல்ல. "Animal, whether ape of jellyfish, can live, reproduce, and die, and the endless round of existence go on eternally, without an iota of advancement or improvement." Pirapakaran, the hero who put a backbone on every Eelam Tamil, is not one of those animals.

"தீபங்கள் அணையலாம் தீ அணைவதில்லை தேசத்தை காத்த உயிர் ஒய்ந்தொழிவதில்லை." For as long as that fire burns bright in each and every one of us, and for as long as we vow "இழிவாக வாழோம் தமிழீழப் போரில் இனிமேலும் ஓயோம்", Pirapakaran will continue to live.
