13வது திருத்தச் சட்டத்தை ஒழிக்க வேண்டும், மிருகவதையை தடை செய்ய வேண்டும், பௌத்த சட்டத்தின் அடிப்படையிலான அரசியலமைப்பை கொண்டு வர வேண்டும், வடக்கு கிழக்கில், சிங்களவர்களுக்கு நில உரிமையை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் சமமான சட்டத்தை கொண்டு வர வேண்டும், பௌத்தர்கள் ஏனைய மதங்களுக்கு மாறுவதை தடை செய்ய வேண்டும், முஸ்லிம் தீவிரவாதத்தை வேருடன் அழிக்க வேண்டும், எல்லா மதுபான நிலையங்களை மூடவேண்டும், எல்லா மதக் கோட்பாடுகளையும் நிராகரிக்க வேண்டும் ஆகிய கோரிக்கைகளை வலியுறுத்தியே சாகும்வரையிலான உண்ணாவிரத்தை மேற்கொள்ளவுள்ளதாக சிங்கள ராவய எச்சரித்துள்ளது.

இந்த உண்ணாவிரதம் ஆரம்பிக்கவுள்ள நாள், இடம் மற்றும் பங்கேற்போர் குறித்து விரைவில் அறிவிக்கப்படும் என்றும் சிங்கள ராவய கூறியுள்ளது.

இந்தப் போராட்டம் அரசாங்கத்தை செயலிழக்கச் செய்யும் நோக்கத்தை கொண்டதல்ல என்றும், சிங்களவர்களை பாதுகாக்கும் நோக்கத்தை கொண்டது என்றும் அந்த அமைப்பு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
