பெரும் தொகையான ஆயுதங்களுடன் வடகொரியாவில் இருந்து இலங்கை நோக்கி வந்துகொண்டிருந்த விமானம் ஒன்று தாய்லாந்தில் தடுத்து வைத்து பறி முதல் செய்யப்பட்டதாக நேற்றிரவு பரபரப்பான தகவல்கள் வெளியாகின. தாய்லாந்தின் டொன்மியூங் விமான நிலையத்தில் விமானம் ஒன்று அவசரமாக தரையிறங்கியது. எரிபொருள் நிரப்புவதற்காக தரை இறக்கப்படுவதாகத் தெரிவித்து அவசரஅவசரமாக தரையிறங்கிய விமானத்தை தாய்லாந்து அதிகாரிகள் சோதனை செய்தனர். அப்போது அந்த விமானத்தில் 35 தொன் ஆயுதங்கள் இருக்கக் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

ஆனால் இந்த விமானம் இலங்கைக்கு சொந்தமான ஆயுதங்களை சுமந்து வரவில்லை என்று இலங்கை தெரிவித்துள்ளது. ஆனால் விமான ஓட்டி மற்றும் விமான சிப்பந்திகளின் தகவல்களின் படி இந்த விமானம் இலங்கைக்கே வந்தன என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. இதே வேளை இந்த ஆயுதங்கள் அல்கைடாவினருக்கு இலங்கை ஊடாக தருவிக்கப்பட இருந்ததா எனவும் அமெரிக்க அதிகாரிகள் ஆராய்ந்து வருகின்றனர்.

காவிக்செல்லக்கூடிய பீரங்கி ஆயுதங்கள், றொக்கட் புறோப்பெலர்கள், ஆர்.பி.ஜி கிரனேட்டுக்கள், விமான எதிர்ப்புப் பீரங்கிகள் ஆகியன அந்த விமானத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன என்று தாய்லாந்து அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர். ரஷ்யத் தயாரிப்பான ஐ.எல்.ஆயுத வான் விநியோக யுத்த விமானத்தை நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட தாய்லாந்துப் படையினர் சோதனை செய்தனர். இந்த விமானத்தையும் விமானத்தில் இருந்த பிலோரஷ்யன் ஒருவரையும் கஹ கஸ்தானியர்கள் நால்வரையும் தாய்லாந்து அதிகாரிகள் தடுத்து வைத்துள்ளனர்.

இலங்கையில் போர் முடிவடைந்த போதிலும் விமானம் மூலம் அங்கு ஆயுதங்கள் இதற்கு முன்னரும் எடுத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டிருக்கலாம் என்று தாய்லாந்து அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர். சம்பந்தப்பட்ட விமானம் நேற்றுக் காலையிலும் டொன்மியூங் விமான நிலையத் தில் எரிபொருள்களை நிரப்பிக் கொண்டு வடகொரியா நோக்கிச் சென்றது என்றும் அங்கிருந்து திரும்பிவந்து நேற்றுப் பிற்பகலிலும் எரிபொருள் நிரப்புவதற்கு தரை இறங்கக் கேட்டதாகவும் இதற்கிடையில் அமெரிக்காவுக்கும் தாய்லாந்துக்கும் இடையிலான வான் போக்குவரத்து ஒப்பந்தத்துக்கு இணங்க குறிப்பிட்ட விமானம் கனரக ஆயுதங்களுடன் வருவதாக அமெரிக்கா தாய்லாந்து விமான நிலைய அதிகாரிகளுக்கு அறிவித்திருந்தது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து தாய்லாந்து அதிகாரிகளும் குறிப்பிட்ட விமானத்தை இறங்க அனுமதித்து அதனையும் ஆயுதங்களையும் பறிமுதல் செய்து வைத்துள்ளனர்.

இந்த ஆயுதங்கள் அனைத்தையும் வைத்து விடுதலைப்புலிகளிடம் கைப்பற்ற பட்டதாக கூறி ஒட்டுமொத்த தமிழர்களையும் முழு உலகில் இருந்து தனிமைப்படுத்த எடுத்த முயற்சி படுதோல்வியடைந்துள்ளது.காரணம் விடுதலைப்புலிகள் வடகொரியாவுடன் தொடர்புகளை பேணுகிறார்கல்,எதிர்காலத்தில் அணுஆயுதங்களையும் பெற்றுவிடுவார்கள் என்று கதையளக்க முடியாமல் போய்விட்டது.

Thailand will charge detained crew members with crimes related to trafficking the 35-ton arms shipment in violation of sanctions slapped on North Korea for its missile and nuclear tests.

Thai authorities have intercepted a cache of grenades, rocket launchers, and other heavy arms from North Korea after the plane carrying them was forced to land in Bangkok for fuel. Acting on a tip from the United States and in line with United Nations sanctions, Thailand is now trying to piece together where the weapons were headed.

The five crew members, four with Kazakh passports and one from Belarus, have all been arrested but remained tight-lipped. Thailand will charge them with crimes related to trafficking the 35-ton arms shipment in violation of sanctions slapped on North Korea for its missile and nuclear tests in spring, reports Reuters. Those restrictions aim to choke off the North's weapons trade, one of the impoverished state's few sources of income.

An air force official involved in the inspection of the craft, who declined to be named, said on Saturday the Thai authorities had been asked by the United States to investigate the plane and its cargo.

"We were approached by the United States, seeking our cooperation to examine the suspected plane. It came from North Korea and was heading for somewhere in South Asia, probably Pakistan," the official told Reuters.

Monthon Sutchukorn, a deputy spokesman for the Thai Air Force, told Reuters the plane was impounded at 3 p.m. (0800 GMT) on Friday.

"The air force took control of the plane in the evening of December 11," he added. "We found a huge amount of weapons ... all of which was transferred to be kept at a safe place belonging to the air force."

The plane's flight schedule indicates it was originally bound for Colombo, Sri Lanka, reports The Bangkok Post. Sri Lanka's Daily Mirror says authorities there denied that, adding: "Some believe the crew of the detained aircraft may have indicated they were heading for Sri Lanka in order to conceal their actual destination." One Sri Lankan military official told Reuters, "Why should Sri Lanka buy from North Korea when the same is available in China?"

This is the first time a North Korean plane has been caught in the UN dragnet since its spring resolution imposing sanctions. India in August detained a North Korean vessel it deemed suspicious, but it turned out to be full of sugar. A month prior, a North Korean boat appeared to be headed for Burma (Myanmar) high-tailed it home after being trailed by the US Navy.

The Thai foreign ministry has announced it will report the arms seizure the the UN in 45 days, as required under the resolution, reports The Nation in Bangkok.

South Korean officials were paying close attention to the incident, reports Yonhap News Agency. "If the Thai government's announcement is true that North Korean weapons were on board, measures should be taken against the apparent violation of UN resolutions," it quoted an anonymous official at Seoul's Foreign Ministry as saying.

The incident follows US special envoy Stephen Bosworth's visit to the North last week, which aimed to draw Pyongyang back to six-party nuclear negotiations.

இந்த விமான நாடகமும் அவ்வாறே இருக்கப்போகிறது. இது உண்மையிலேயே வட கொரியாவிலிருந்து சிங்களத்துக்கென்று வந்திருந்தாலும் கூட அமெரிக்கா கண்டுகொள்ளப்போவதில்லை.உலக அரசியலில இதெல்லம் சாதாரணமப்பா !!!!!
