பிரபாகரன் போன்ற மாவீரன் இனிப் பிறக்கப் போவதில்லை! - கேணல் ஹரிகரன் புகழாரம்.

தமிழீழ விடுதலைப் புலிகளின் தலைவர் வே.பிரபாகரன் போன்ற ஒரு மாவீரன் தமிழர்களிடத்தில் இனிப் பிறக்கப் போவதில்லை என்று இந்திய அமைதிப்படையின் புலனாய்வுப் பிரிவுக்குத் தலைமை தாங்கிய ஓய்வு பெற்ற இந்திய இராணுவ அதிகாரி கேணல் ஹரிகரன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். தொலைக்காட்சி விவாதம் ஒன்றில் பங்கேற்று கருத்துரைக்கும் போதே அவர் இவ்வாறு குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். விடுதலைப் புலிகளின் தலைவர் பிரபாகரன் உண்மையில் சிறந்த மாவீரன். அவரால்தான் தமிழர்களின் விடுதலைப் போராட்டம் இந்தளவுற்கு வந்துள்ளது. பிரபாகரனைப் போன்று மீண்டுமொருவர் தமிழர்களிடத்தில் பிறக்கப் போவதில்லை எனவும் அவர் பகிரங்கமாகத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

அப்படி பிறந்தாலும்....அந்த மாவீரனை அழிக்க இன்னோரு ஹரிகரன் இந்தியாவில் பிறந்து அவரை அழித்துவிடுவார்கள்......அதுசரி உவரின்ட புகழாரத்தை வைச்சு நாங்கள் என்ன செய்யிறதாம்

உவர் வெறு வாயை சப்பிக்கிட்டே இருப்பார். சும்மா விடுங்க. பிரபாகரனை வெல்ல.. 25 நாடுகள் அதுகும் உலக வல்லரசுகள் எல்லாம் ஒன்றா வர வேண்டியதாப் போச்சுது. தமிழன் என்றொரு இனம்.. உலக வல்லரசுகளை எல்லாம் எதிர் கொண்டுச்சாம் என்பதே பிரபாகரனின் வீரத்தைச் சொல்லப் போதுமானது. ஆனால் ஒரு இனப்படுகொலை அரசுக்கு இவர்கள் கொடுத்த முண்டு தான்.. உலகில் மனித இனத்தின் சாபக்கேடு..!

கேணல் ஹரிகரன் தான் இன்னும் இருக்கின்றார் என்று காட்டவும் பிரபாகரனின் உதவியைத்தான் வேண்டுகின்றார்.

அதுதானே, இந்தியா இருக்கும்போது இன்னொரு பிரபாகரன் உருவாவதை விட்டுருமா என்ன ?? முளையிலேயே கிள்ளி எறிஞ்சிட மாட்டோம் ? 

பண்டாரவன்னியனை ஆங்கிலேயர் கொன்ற போதும்.. இப்படித்தான் சொன்னார்களாம். அப்புறம்.. பிரபாகரன் தோன்றினார். வரலாறு என்பது.. இந்தக் கோணல்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்புக்குள் இருந்து விடுவதில்லை. அதையும் மீறி நடந்தேறும்.

 

When the Jaffna Kingdom was captured by the Portuguese in 1621, the Vanni was under their nominal control and it is thought that 'Parangichetticulam' of the Vanni is the former fort of the Portuguese.

 

With Dutch colonists in Sri Lanka, the Vanniar could only offer an annual tribute of 42 elephants. Around 1782, the continued conflicts came to an end when the Dutch once and for all defeated the Vanniars. "The Dutch met nowhere a more determined resistance than from one of the native princesses, the Vannichi (widow) Maria Sembatte, whom they [carried] away as prisoner, and [detained] in captivity in the Fort of Colombo."

 

Pandara Vanniyan fought against the Dutch and British colonial powers. The Vanniars, commenced to live a wild and marauding life and carried on a predatory warfare against the Dutch in Mannar and Trincomalee and even penetrated to the Jaffna peninsula. The Dutch had to build forts along the river to keep them at bay. In alliance with the Kandy Kingdom, Vanniyan started a revolt to expel the Dutch from his district. Vanniyan attacked the government house in Mullaitheevu and drove out the garrison from Mullaitheevu, which was under the command of Lt. von Driberg, and seized the fort.^[1]He captured the Dutch cannons and overran the whole of the northern districts (Vanni), highlighting his boldness and ability to penetrate as far as Elephant Pass and into the Jaffna Peninsula. From conventional warfare, he resorted to guerrilla tactics, but was finally defeated by Lt. von Driberg when the British organized a three-pronged attack from Jaffna, Mannar and Trincomalee in 1803. In that battle, the British also captured the cannon given to Pandara Vanniyan by Kannusamy ( Sri Wickrema Rajasinghe – the Kandyan king). The British presented the village of Pandara Kulam to Lt. von Driberg as a prize for defeating Pandara Vanniyan.

 

This was followed by the "burning of all his houses, [whereby] his people ... dispersed into the jungle, and eventually out of the Vanni. The power of the Vanniar (Chieftains) was thus finally and effectually extinguished." Interestingly, alternative histories have it that Lt. von Driberg of the Dutch forces felt humiliated by Pandara Vanniyan for having been defeated by him several times, including in a personal combat situation; despite being permitted by senior officials to withdraw, he stayed on.

பண்டார வன்னியனுக்கும்.. பிரபாகரனுக்கும் இருந்த ஒற்றுமைகளில்..

 

இருவரும் உள்ளூர் எதிரிகளோடு மட்டுமல்ல.. சர்வதேச எதிரிகளுடன் தமிழர்களின் இருப்பாகப் போராடி உள்ளனர்.

 

இருவரும்.. எதிரியிடம் பீரங்கியை எடுத்தது.. வன்னியில் தான்.

 

இருவரையும் எதிரிகள்... பல முனை போர் நகர்வின் மூலம்.. தோற்கடித்ததும்.. வன்னியில் தான்.

 

இருவரும்.. கெரில்லா போர் முறையை பின்பற்றி உள்ளனர்.

 

இருவரும்.. கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒரே எல்லை வரை நிலங்களை மீட்டு அரசாண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

 

இருவரையும் காட்டிக் கொடுக்க ஆட்கள் இருந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

இப்ப விளங்கனும்.. ஏன் டச்சுக்காரர்கள்.... இன்றும்.. சிங்களவனுக்கு முண்டு கொடுக்கிறாங்க என்று. ஆங்கிலேயர்களும்.. சிங்களவர்களோடு.. ஹிந்தியர்களோடு சேர்ந்து..  ஏன் புலிகளை ஒடுக்கணுன்னு விரும்பினார்கள் என்று.

பண்டாரவன்னியனை வீழ்த்திய ஆங்கிலேயனே அவனுக்கு வீரக்கல்லும் (நினைவுக்கல்) நட்டு வைத்தான். அன்று.. வன்னியனை.. தெய்வமாக எண்ணினார்களாம் சிங்கள மக்கள்.

A granite stone monument commemorating Vanniyan's defeat is displayed in Vanni; it was placed by Lt. von Driberg, as a tribute to his battle with Pandara Vanniyan. The monument bears the inscription: “Here abouts Captain von Driberg Defeated Pandara Vawniyan Oct 31 st 1803.” In 2010 it was found broken; some Tamil media outlets reported that it had been damaged by Sinhala soldiers.
