தெற்கே மகிந்தவையும் வடக்கே கஜேந்திரகுமாரயும் தோற்கடித்து இனவாதத்துக்கு இடமில்லை என இலங்கை மக்கள் ஒட்டு மொத்தமாக நிரூபித்து விட்டார்கள் என ஊடகவியலாளர் உபுல் ஜோசப் பெனாண்டோ, சிலோன் டுடே பத்திரிகையில் எழுதி உள்ளார்.

இந்த ஆரோக்கிய நிலைமையினை புதிய அரசு, ஆக்கப்பூர்வமாக பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்கிறார் அவர்.

மகிந்தவுக்கு புதிதாக சொல்லிக் கொண்டு வாக்குக் கேட்க எதுவும் இருக்கவில்லை. இனவாதம் கதைத்தே கரை சேரலாம் என்று நினைத்தார். எனினும் மக்கள் அவரது எதிபார்ப்புக்கு செவி சாய்க்க வில்லை.

மறுபுறத்தே, அதே போல் வீராவேசமாக பேசி தமிழர் வாக்குகளை பெற முடியும் என கணக்கு போட்ட  கஜேந்திரகுமாரயும், வடக்கே மக்கள் வீட்டுக்கே அனுப்பி விட்டார்கள்.

ஐ தே க வாக்குகள் 2 மில்லியனில் இருந்து 5 மில்லியன் ஆக அதிகரிக்க, சு. க வாக்குகள் வீழ்ச்சி அடைந்துள்ளன. இதுவே மகிந்தர் பிரபல்யம் மங்கிவிட்டதை வெளிச்சம் போட்டு காட்டி உள்ளது.  

மறுபுறம் தமிழ் கூட்டமைப்பு வாக்குகள் 300,000 தினால் அதிகரித்து உள்ளன.

2005 ம் ஆண்டு ரணில், தெற்கே மகிந்தவின் இனவாதத்தாலும், வடக்கே பிரபாகரனின் இனவாதத்தாலும் தோற் கடிக்கப்பட்டார்.

ஆக இலங்கை மக்கள், இனவாதத்தினை ரசிக்கும் நிலையில் இல்லை என்கிறார் அவர்.

தேர்தல் முடிவுகளை கேட்க அவ்வப்போது சக்தி டி வி ,IBC டிவி ,தீபம் டிவி ,TVI என்று மாறி மாறி பார்த்துக்கொண்டு இருந்தேன் .சக்தி டி வி யில் வந்து கதைதவர்களுக்கும் புலம் பெயர்ந்தவர்களின் டிவி யில் கதைதவர்களுக்கும் பெரியமுரண் இருந்தது .வெளிநாட்டில் இருந்து கொண்டு இன்னமும் புடுங்குவம் என்ற தோரணையில் தான் கதை .

நாட்டில் இருக்கும் மக்களை தொடர்ந்தும் இன்னல்களுக்கு உள்ளாக்கி தொடர்ந்து தமது பிழைப்பை ஓட்டும் நோக்கம் மட்டும் தான் இவர்களின் நோக்கம் .தாங்கள் எதுவிதத்திலும் பாதிக்க படபோவதில்லை தானே .

Sri Lankan Voters Reject Racism by Defeating Mahinda – UPFA in South and Gajendrakumar-TNPF in North

When Maithri removed the UPFA and SLFP Secretaries last week, the Mahinda faction attacked Maithri stating that the latter’s decision to introduce new secretaries to act in those offices was taken before Court by a Tamil lawyer. Former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva disclosed the name of that lawyer and identified as a Tamil. The motive was to put the Tiger label on that lawyer and incite racism. The entire campaign of Mahinda was designed to promote the feeling that if Ranil won the polls the LTTE would revive.

Other than spreading the message that if Ranil won he would work closely with the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to sell the country to the Tigers, nothing worthwhile was heard from Mahinda’s platform. Even during the last presidential election, Mahinda sang the same song.

Mahinda who made that claim put out an agreement prepared by his party stating that Maithri and Ranil had entered into an agreement with the TNA and made it public. However, the people rejected that exercise of Mahinda and defeated him.

The ‘Let’s rise with Mahinda’ team around him thought that Maithri won the poll with Tamil votes. Hence, they went round the country saying that Mahinda won the Sinhala Buddhist vote at the January polls. They said that when the North-East votes were separated, Mahinda led in the South predominantly Sinhala Buddhist areas.

They further claimed that Maithri obtained only 5,239,051 outside the North and East and Mahinda secured 5,444,490 leading with a majority of 205,439. When they claimed that Mahinda was a President who won the Sinhala Buddhist vote, Mahinda claimed he was not defeated. In that backdrop they thought Mahinda could easily win the general elections.

They were of the view as the TNA which would contest separately unlike the presidential election; the UNP would be compelled to base their success on the Sinhala Buddhist vote. They proposed to label Ranil as a Tiger sympathizer to defeat Ranil as he would contest Mahinda. Also as the Ranil image was negative before the Sinhala Buddhist audience, they thought Mahinda could win the general election.

They did calculations on the vote base by subtracting votes cast during the presidential election by the TNA, JVP and Sarath Fonseka in favour of Maithri and was dead certain of Mahinda’s victory. The social media facilities were used to the maximum to carry out the racist campaign. They also structured news items to state that the LTTE was rising again.

The arrest of some LTTE cadres with cyanide capsules in India has even baffled the Indian authorities. The reason was the Tiger trademark on those capsules and wide publicity given to the incident by the Mahinda camp. Any attempt to change the Indian thinking by India’s PK Company, politicians and media personnel bought over by the Rajapaksas to plan such strategy did not look an impossible task.

A pro-Rajapaksa astrologer who appeared on a television channel following that incident in India predicted that if Ranil came to power the LTTE would revive and there would be bloodshed in the country. All these plans were mooted by the Rajapaksas’ to incite racism to win the elections. The Sinhala Buddhist population defeated all those strategies and plans at Monday’s elections. Mahinda lost his much claimed 5.8 million vote base. Ranil won through the Sinhala Buddhist vote thus defeating racism.

Mahinda chose to contest from Kurunegala as families of most men who joined the military lived in that district. The motive was to sell the war victory to incite racism. In the end, he only succeeded in obtaining a lesser quantum of votes than what he secured at the presidential election. The UPFA also lost two seats from the numbers which it secured in 2010. UNP’s youth MP Akila Viraj was successful in that exercise to lessen the numbers for Mahinda in Kurunegala.

Ranil was defeated in 2005 by the patriotic army in the South led by Mahinda and the racism spread in the North by Prabhakaran. On the contrary, the Sinhala Buddhist population in the South defeated Mahinda’s racist policy and the Tamils in the North rejected the pro-LTTE TNPF and Gajendra Kumar’s party. The Northern people too rejected racism. That was the message from the people in the North and South at the general election. The racism propagated in these two areas in 2005 was defeated in 2015. It’s a dramatic turn towards the better.

மகிந்த கக்கிய இனவாதம் பெரும்பான்மையான வாக்காளரிடம்  எடுபடவில்லை என்று தானே சொல்கிறார். எடுபட்டு இருந்தால் அவர் தானே பிரதமர் ஆகி இருப்பார் அல்லவா.

மகிந்த வாக்குகளை லட்சக்கணக்கில் அள்ளாமல் கட்டுத்தொகையை இழந்திருந்தார் என்றால் இனவாதத்தை சிங்களவர்கள் தூர எறிந்துவிட்டார்கள் என்று சொல்ல வழி இருக்கு. இனிமேல் டக்ளஸ் வாங்கின வாக்குகளுக்கும் ஒரு வியாக்கியானம் கண்டுபிடிக்க வேணும்..

மகிந்தாவிற்கு கிடைத்த வாக்குக்குகள் யுத்தத்தை வென்றதிற்கான வாக்குகள் .

நாட்டில் பயங்கரவாதத்தை ஒழித்ததற்கான வாக்குகள் .

அப்படித்தான் அவரது தேர்தல் பரப்புரைகள் அநேகம் இருந்ததன .

 

மகிந்தாவிற்கு கிடைத்த வாக்குக்குகள் யுத்தத்தை வென்றதிற்கான வாக்குகள் .

நாட்டில் பயங்கரவாதத்தை ஒழித்ததற்கான வாக்குகள் .

அப்படித்தான் அவரது தேர்தல் பரப்புரைகள் அநேகம் இருந்ததன .
