ஆய்வு மைய்யம் அமைக்க வேண்டும் அனைவரியும் ஒன்ரிணைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதெல்லம் நீங்கள் மட்டும் அல்ல யாழ்க்களத்தில் நானும் குறுக்கலபோவானும் சமாதான காலத்திலையே சொன்ன செயற்பாடுகள்.

அவற்றிற்காக் ஒரு ஆங்கிலக் களமும் ஆரம்பிகப்பட்டது.ஆனால் யாழ்க்களத்தில் இன்ரு வரை நிகழும் நிகழ்ந்த கருதாடல்களைக் கவனிதால் தெரியும் பலருக்கு அறிவியல் மூலம் பெறப்படும் அறிவு என்பது எங்கனம் பாவிக்கப்பட வெண்டும் என்பவை எல்லாம் சுடலை ஞானமாக்த் தான் வருகிறது.

ஆனால்வன்னியில் நடை பெற் அவேண்டியவை எவ்வளவு வளப்பற்றாக்குறைக்குல்ளும் அறிவியல் ஆய்வு என்பன நடந்து கொண்டுதான் இருந்தது இருக்கிறது.

புலத் தமிழர் கோவில் கட்டி கும்பாபிசேகம் செய்து தெருத் தெருவா தேங்காய் உடைக்கத் தான் தகுதியானவர்கள்.அதனையே யாழ்க் கள சைவ இந்து ஆன்மீக மெஞ்ஞான வள்ளள்களும் ஊக்குவிக்கிறார்கள்

தேங்காய் உடைக்கிறதால.. அல்லது அதை நிற்பாட்டிறதால வேலாயுதம்.. லோ.. சூலாயுதம்.. சாம் ஏவுகணை.. ஆகனும் என்றுதான் சில பேர்.. காத்திருக்கினம். அதுக்கு அறிவியல்.. முற்போக்கு என்று பெயரிட்டுவிட்டு காத்திரிக்கினம். பொறுங்கோ...!

அறிவியல் என்பது இயற்கை சார்ந்தே இருக்கிறது. இயற்கைக்குள் உள்ள சக்தியைக் கொண்டுதான் தொழில்நுட்ப அறிவால் ஏவுகணைகளாக வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டு பாவிக்கப்படுகின்றன. ஏவுகணை ஒன்றும் மந்திரத்தில் இயங்கவில்லை. இயற்கையில் இருந்து பகுத்துப் பெறப்பட்ட இரசாயனங்கள் கொண்டு ஆக்கப்பட்ட இரசாயக்கலவை வழங்கும் இரசாயன சக்தி.. இயக்க சக்தியாக.. மாற்றப்படுவதாலேயே அதுவும் இயங்குகிறது. மனிதன் அதை வடிவமைக்க தொழில்நுட்ப அறிவியலை மற்றும் அறிவியலைப் பாவிக்கிறான். அவ்வளவே..! ஏவுகணைக்குரிய உலோகங்கள்.. அறிவியலால்.. முற்றிலும் செயற்கையாக இயற்றப்படவில்லை. இயற்கையில் இருந்து பகுக்கப்பட்டு.. பின்னர் கலவைகளாக சேர்க்கப்பட்டு.. மனிதனின் தேவைகளுக்கேற்ப வடிவத்தில் வார்க்கப்படுகின்றன. ஆக மூலப்பொருட்கள் எல்லாம்.. இயற்கையில் இருந்துதான் பெறப்படுகின்றன.

உங்களைப் போலவே எனது நண்பனும்.. ரோபேற்றிங் பொறியலாளராக இருக்கிறான். அவன் கூட ஆதங்கப்பட்டான். என்னடாப்பா.. எங்கட இனம் படிப்பில பெரிய ஆக்கள் என்று மார்தட்டிக் கொண்டு திரியுது.. தங்கட தேச மக்களை பாதுகாக்க.. கொள்கைகளை.. தொழில்நுட்பங்களை உருப்படியா வளர்க்க முடியாத பலவீனத்தில இருக்குதே என்று. உலகப் போர்களே இன்றைய தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சிக்கு படிக்கற்களாக ஆகின. ஆனால் எங்கட இனம்.. சாமி சிலையை வடிக்கிறதிலும்.. உடைக்கிறதிலும்.. ஆளாளுக்கு யார் அறிவியலில பெரிசு என்று போட்டி போடுதே.. தவிர.. உருப்படியா சிந்திக்கிறதா இல்லை என்று.

எல்லா தமிழ் அறிவியல் விற்பன்னர்களும் ஒருங்கிணைந்து செயற்பட்டால் நிச்சயம் எமக்கென்று தனித்துவமான தொழில்நுட்பங்களுடன் கூடிய இராணுவ மற்றும் சிவில் வளங்களை உருவாக்கிப் போராட்டத்துக்கு அதிக வலுச் சேர்க்க முடியும் என்பதாகவும் சொல்லிக் கொண்டான்.

ஆனால்.. ஒன்று ஏற மற்றது காலை வாருற நிலையில் இருக்கும்.. கூடையில் விடப்பட்ட நண்டுகள் தான் எங்கட இனம் என்றதை.. எதிரி அறிஞ்சு வைச்சிருக்கிற அளவுக்கு நாங்கள்.. அறியல்ல என்றது இப்பதானே புரியுது.

அப்பாடா இனியாவது உருப்படியா ஏதாவது எழுதலாம்.

virtual working space என்று ஒரு கொள்கை உள்ளது. அதன்படி உலகம் முழுதும் பரந்துள்ள நம் தமிழர் தம் தொழில் நுட்ப அறிவுகளை ஒருங்கிணைக்கலாம். வன்னியில் தான் எல்லாம் நடந்தேற வேண்டும் என்ற கட்டாயம் இருக்கக்கூடாது. இறுதிப்பயன்பாடு வன்னியாகட்டும். இந்த virtual working space இல் பங்கேற்க அடையாளம் உறுதிப்படுதப்பட வேண்டும். ஒருவருக்கு மற்றொருவரை தெரிந்து இருக்க வேன்டிய அவசியம் இல்லை.

உங்களைப் போலவே எனது நண்பனும்.. ரோபேற்றிங் பொறியலாளராக இருக்கிறான். அவன் கூட ஆதங்கப்பட்டான். என்னடாப்பா.. எங்கட இனம் படிப்பில பெரிய ஆக்கள் என்று மார்தட்டிக் கொண்டு திரியுது.. தங்கட தேச மக்களை பாதுகாக்க.. கொள்கைகளை.. தொழில்நுட்பங்களை உருப்படியா வளர்க்க முடியாத பலவீனத்தில இருக்குதே என்று. உலகப் போர்களே இன்றைய தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சிக்கு படிக்கற்களாக ஆகின. ஆனால் எங்கட இனம்.. சாமி சிலையை வடிக்கிறதிலும்.. உடைக்கிறதிலும்.. ஆளாளுக்கு யார் அறிவியலில பெரிசு என்று போட்டி போடுதே.. தவிர.. உருப்படியா சிந்திக்கிறதா இல்லை என்று.

ஆனால்.. ஒன்று ஏற மற்றது காலை வாருற நிலையில் இருக்கும்.. கூடையில் விடப்பட்ட நண்டுகள் தான் எங்கட இனம் என்றதை.. எதிரி அறிஞ்சு வைச்சிருக்கிற அளவுக்கு நாங்கள்.. அறியல்ல என்றது இப்பதானே புரியுது.

அப்படிப் பட்ட நிலை எல்லா இனங்களுக்கும் உள்ளே இருக்கும். இப்படியே பேசிக்கொண்டு, குறைப் பட்டுக்கொண்டு இருப்பதை விட இவற்றில் இருந்து மீண்டு வருவோம். அதற்கான ஆக்கபூர்வமான செயல்திட்டங்களை ஆரம்பிப்போம்.

எமக்கிடையே வெளிநாடுகளில் (புலம் பெயர்ந்த நாடுகளில்) கல்வி கற்ற புதிய தலைமுறை ஒன்று வெளிக்கிளம்பி வருகின்றது. அது எதிர்காலத்தில் தன் இனதிற்கு சேவை ஆற்றக் கூடிய வாறு ஒரு தொழில் நுட்ப ஒருங்கிணைப்பு அமைப்பையாவது (சர்வதேச சட்டங்களுக்கு அமைவாக) இப்போது ஆரம்பிப்போம்

UW students arrested in connection with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam

A collaborative effort between the FBI and RCMP resulted in the arrests of four students. Three UW alumni and one UW undergraduate allegedly supported foreign terrorist organization, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE or Tamil Tigers).

Electrical engineering graduates, Suresh Sriskandarajah and Thirukumaran Sinnathamby; computer science graduate, Thirukumaran Sivasubramaniam; and computer engineering undergraduate, Ramanan Mylvaganam face charges of “conspiring to provide material support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization and related offenses.” Additionally, they were “caught in a undercover sting operation attempting to purchase a large number of surface-to-air missiles, missile launchers, and hundreds of AK-47 automatic rifles,” revealed United States Attorney, Roslynn R. Mauskopf of the Department of Justice in the Eastern District of New York.

The FBI arrested eleven people in connection with the organization, seven of which are Canadians. Sinnathamby is the first of the seven Canadians released on a $400,000USD bond. The remaining men wait for possible extradition.

The Canadian government designated the LTTE as a foreign terrorist organization in April 2006. Members of the LTTE can no longer legally raise money or obtain specified equipment or materials into Canada or the U.S., who designated the group a terrorist organization in 1997.

Sriskandarajah, 26, described as “innovative” and “enthusiastic,” by the founder of the Tamil Cultural Association of Waterloo Region, Bala Thambypillai, served as president of the Waterloo Tamil Students Association (WATSA) in 2001. WATSA’s “primary objective is to maintain the strength of our culture through student involvement in local events and international opportunities.”

Sriskandarajah obtained a co-op job in Sri Lanka through UW’s co-op services and travelled there again with 11 other UW students when the tsunami hit in December 2004.

His work experiences also include program manager for Microsoft Corp., project management for Research In Motion, and volunteer and founder of Vanni Innovation Group, “a student-run organization developed to support existing development agencies by providing student volunteers.” He also did volunteer work for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) on UW campus.

Sriskandarajah made concerted efforts to establish relief for Sri Lankans before and after the tsunami. These include articles in Imprint, the Iron Warrior, acknowledgements in the Daily Bulletin, organizing different discussions and writing letters urging the student body to help.

In an article for Imprint on February 4, 2005, Sriskandarajah wrote, “I urged the Canadian government, along with the international community, to put in place an effective monitoring mechanism which would ensure that the aid sent by Canadians are in fact being distributed equitably to all the affected regions of Sri Lanka.”

Mylvaganam, 29, served as vice-president of WATSA after postponing university for three years so he could work to sponsor his family to immigrate to Canada. After his father died when he was young, he took care of his five brothers and sisters and his mother. He was to start his co-op job a week from when he was arrested with Microsoft’s international headquarters.

Sriskandarajah and Mylvaganam allegedly attempted to buy $22,000 in submarine and warship design software from a British company. Mylvaganam is also alleged to have helped Sriskandarajah buy night-vision equipment from a British Columbian company.

Sinnathamby, 27, moved from Sri Lanka to Canada with his parents in hopes of getting a better education. He married his high school sweetheart not three months ago, and his engineering degree earned him a job in the U.S.

Sivasubramaniam, 27, served as WATSA president for two terms before graduating in 2003.

In a statement issued on August 21, 2006, the RCMP said that “these arrests demonstrate how integrated policing and international co-operation enhance the ability of the law enforcement community to protect the safety and security of the public.”

According to the Department of Justice’s affidavit, the LTTE, founded in 1976, “uses illegal methods to raise money, acquire weapons and technology, and publicize its cause of establishing an independent Tamil state in northern Sri Lanka.”

The Tamil minority and the Sinhalese majority have been engaged in a brutal civil war since 1983. The LTTE, with an army of several thousand, control most of northern and eastern coastal areas of Sri Lanka.

The LTTE is allegedly responsible for roughly 200 suicide bombings over the last 15 years, such as the assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Ghandi, the 1993 assassination of the president of Sri Lanka, assassination of another member of parliament, the assassination of the Sri Lankan industry minister and the 2006 assassination of the Sri Lankan peace secretariat. The cease-fire agreement since 2002 “has essentially ended, and since April 2006, more than 1,700 people have been killed in the escalating conflict,” states the Department of Justice. The department of justice also alleges that the defendants used several email accounts to inquire about purchasing military arms, aerial vehicles, submarine design software, global positioning system equipment, radio and satellite equipment, air traffic equipment, cameras and computers, among other items. Bank accounts were also allegedly used to launder money for LTTE-funded activities like purchasing of equipment and traveling to and from Sri Lanka.

The complaints allege that LTTE fund raising efforts in North America are part of the “defendants conspiracy to provide material support to LTTE…relying on ‘front’ charitable organization to give the fund raising the appearance of legitimacy. These organizations were also used to send goods and material to LTTE in Sri Lanka.”

If convicted, the defendants face maximum sentences of 15 years for conspiracy to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization, 10 years for dealing in property of a specially designated terrorist and five years for conspiracy to bribe public officials.

Other defendants are Sathajhan Sarachandran, Sahilal Sabaratnam, Thiruthanian Thanigasalam, Nadarasa Yograrasa, Murugesu Vinayagamoorthy, Nachimuthu Socrates and Vijayshanthar Patpanathan. Their ages range from 26 to 57 years old.

Staff and faculty of UW and Feds were encouraged to direct all questions to director of UW public relations, Martin Van Nierop. On August 28, 2006, UW issued a statement regarding the arrests, stating that a forensic audit of WATSA and an immediate review of the policies and procedures regarding international co-op placements will take place.

The FBI identified Canada as a major source for illegal fundraising, enabled by two factors. For one, the Liberal government, in efforts to increase support in the Tamil community, did not classify the Tigers as a terrorist group. The other is due to the holes in the refugee determination system that allowed in a large number of Tamil supporters.

The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, delivered a statement on August 15, 2006, before the arrests, regarding the escalation of hostilities in Sri Lanka. He states: “Canada believes that there can be no military solution to this lengthy conflict. Peace can only be achieved when all parties desist from violence and intimidation and seek a resolution to the conflict through negotiation.”

இது பொதுமக்கள் தம்மை அரச பயங்கரவாதங்களின் போர் முறைகளில் இருந்து பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ளவே. அது அமெரிக்க அரசின் பயங்கரவாதமாக இருக்கட்டும்.. சிறீலங்கா அரசின் பயங்கரவாதமாக இருக்கட்டும்.. உலக மக்கள் தம்மை இப்பயங்கரவாத அரசுகளின் அடக்குமுறைகளில் இருந்து விடுவித்துக் கொள்ள ஒன்றுபட வேண்டிய புதிய உலகுக்குரிய காலம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது..!

பயங்கரவாதத்துக்கு எதிரான போர் என்பதன் கீழ் ஈராக்கிலும் சரி ஆப்கானிஸ்தானிலும் சரி பாகிஸ்தானிலும் சரி ஆயிரக்கணக்கான அப்பாவி மக்களே கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர். பயங்கரவாதிகள் அல்ல. அந்த அப்பாவி மக்களின் படுகொலைகள் குறித்து குறிப்பிட்ட அரசுகளைக் கண்டிக்காது விட்டது உலக மக்கள் செய்த மாபெரும் தவறாகிவிட்டது.

அதனாலே சிறீலங்கா அரசு போன்ற அடக்குமுறை அரசுகளும் பயங்கரவாதத்துக்கு எதிரான போர் என்ற உச்சரிப்பின் கீழ் பொதுமக்களை ஏன் ஒரு இன மக்களை அழிப்பதைக் கூட ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபை உள்ளிட்டன விடுப்புப் பார்க்கும் நிலை தோன்றியுள்ளது. நாம் எமது சகோதரங்களின் இழப்புக் கண்டு உலகை இரஞ்சிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்.

இது மனித இனத்துக்கு அவசியமில்லை. ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனுக்கும் தன்னைத் தானே பாதுகாக்கும் உரிமை உண்டு. அதை உலகம் அங்கீகரிக்க வேண்டும். இன்றேல்.. உலக அரசுகள் பொதுமக்கள் மீது தாக்குல் நடத்தப் பாவிக்கும் அனைத்துவகை படைக்கலங்களையும் அழிக்க மாற்று நடவடிக்கைகளில் உலக மக்கள் ஒருங்கிணைந்து போராட வேண்டிய நிலையே ஏற்படும். அதுவே இன்று ஏற்பட்டும் உள்ளது.

அரசுகளை தெரிவு செய்யும் மக்களுக்கு இல்லாத உரிமை அரசுகளை நிர்வகிப்பவர்கள் எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும் ஆபத்தான நிலை இன்று ஜனநாயகம் என்ற பெயரில் உலகில் நிலவி வருகிறது. ஆட்சி மாற்றக் காலங்களுக்குள் மக்களை அழிப்பதை அரசுத் தலைவர்கள் செய்வதை தொடர்ந்து அங்கீகரிக்க முடியாது. இது உலகில் அரசுகள் வன்முறை ரீதியில் மக்களை அடிமைப்படுத்தி.. அவர்களின் உரிமைகளைத் தட்டிப் பறிக்கவே வழிகோலும்..!
